Hi Jane!

:Pic08:

Als to note, there is no state tax in TX so in that case, that would likely change too!

Hi there!!!

Found a small farm outside Melissa. Just now need to find time to get back there to check it out.

I look for an area that gets decent rainfall. I love to garden & keep honeybees.

Greenville & the McKinney area get about 44 inches per year on average & have pretty good soil. The little farm already has peach trees & pecans (of course), it backs to a creek, has wooded & open areas. The surrounding land is almost all large cultivated parcels.

Ahhhh ..... peace & privacy!!!!!

A message to Texas:

Legalize Marijuana and Hemp, People would buy land to farm. You could easily make up for a federal fiscal meltdown with the Tax revenue generated from the sales of Marijuana and Hemp, not to mention all the new businesses and jobs that would be created.
 Quoting: Mr. D 4603964

a federal fiscal meltdown means what ? you trade weed for anything you can't produce ? You were going to grow what when the wells puff up dust like in happy texas , ornamental cactus ?

Texas would be invaded and destroyed by Mexican forces in about three hours....maybe four if Walker Texas Ranger intervened.

Simple. If the Feds fall apart, Texas citizens should cease sending tax dollars to the Fed, but pay to the state instead. n.

 Quoting: Lady Jane Smith

That was the original intent of the Enumerated Powers. Far too much money flows from the states to the federal government and then back again, most of it for unconstitutional federal programs.

LOL. Yeh, even girls are taught to shoot by the age of 10 in Texas. And lots of firearms are handed down from generation to generation. People grew up hunting, fishing, ranching, and farming. And these folks are also usually deputized if needed.
I've seen real deal posse's form and ride out in trucks and on horses.

The Fed does not want to mess with Texas. We really are different. Most of us have common sense, can do simple math, smell a crook from a mile away, and we're armed.
If the Fed is coming, Texas is about the best place to be.

I think that way of life (the texans way of life), is
an heritage of accidents when the Texas lands became toghe-
ther.
1.- Indian tribes living in that area, were far away from
the rest of NorthAmerica, and also far from Tenochti-
tlan.
2.- Conquerers were there like been in the end of the world
since the conquerers were spaniards.

3.- When Texas belonged to Mexico, they were so far from
Mexico City, that they were almost forgoten and disper-
sed from the rest of the country; the then president L.
De Santana, tried to reinclude those far residents, but
he founded calamity when he and his troups founded they
were trapped by new americans populations.
They toke him prisioner, and obligated to sign the lo-
ose of Texas.
4.- Fore some reason (unknown by me) these land of Texas
was known by the nam of: ¨New Philipins¨. If you
look closely, when you see the family Bush photos, they
curiosly look philipins people desendencts (family Bush
the presidents and CIA director).

5.- Also the land of Texas was latly habbitated by Saxon
from europe.

Thank you

Simple. If the Feds fall apart, Texas citizens should cease sending tax dollars to the Fed, but pay to the state instead. Texas may get 1/3 of income from the Fed govt, but they do not get all the $ paid to the Feds by individuals & business back.

Interesting, Virginia is looking at having its' own currency as a contingency plan.

Texas needs to start their own state owned bank, like the one in North Dakota--with no Federal Reserve involvement. Also, legalization of industrial hemp will accelerate economic growth in a huge way.

Any state that takes these 2 actions will be on their way to financial independence from DC.

I've written and talked about the water problem in desert southwest (US) extensively. Texas is lucky in that they are close to the gulf of Mexico and they could actually be a net exporter of clean drinking water if the built seawater desalinization plants along the coast for irrigation and drinking.

It will have to get very bad before that happens though...so probably by this fall...

And what difference would any of that make if the USA defaults and the dollar becomes worthless?!?!?

You're argument is that just because the U.S. Government can incur debt and the Federal Reserve can print money, Texas can't live without it...Hell the U.S. Government spends twice as much as it takes in on an annual basis so that they can buy the State's subservience with money they borrowed, then the Fed printed out of thin air. How long do you think a system like that can really last? Hell take it to the extreme, every state should secede so they can incur their own debt and print their own money so that the counties will then be beholden to stay on...

So basically, you're argument is that the US Federal Debt makes all the States slaves to the Federal Government...

Fuck that...
