A message to Texas:
Legalize Marijuana and Hemp, People would buy land to farm. You could easily make up for a federal fiscal meltdown with the Tax revenue generated from the sales of Marijuana and Hemp, not to mention all the new businesses and jobs that would be created.

You were going to grow what when the wells puff up dust like in happy texas , ornamental cactus ? I've written and talked about the water problem in desert southwest (US) extensively. Texas is lucky in that they are close to the gulf of Mexico and they could actually be a net exporter of clean drinking water if the built seawater desalinization plants along the coast for irrigation and drinking.
