correct. google found this:

Gung Hay Fat Choy(i guess this spelling is correct)

The Chinese New Year will be here soon. People all over the world will say "Gung Hay Fat Choy" to each other, meaning " May you prosper. "

Days before the New Year, every family is busy giving its house a thorough cleaning, hoping to sweep away all the bad luck there. People also give their doors and window-panes a new paint, usually in red color, as a way of getting ready for the coming year. They decorate the doors and windows with paper-cuts and couplets with the very popular theme of "happiness","wealth", and "longevity." During the celebrating, there is feasting, fireworks and parades, dancing, and honoring family

Re: Are there any Chinese folks here? Need to know how to spell 'Happy New Year"
There are different systems of romanization or transliteration for Cantonese, "jyutping" being one example, and so there is not one fixed universally correct spelling of any Cantonese word or phrase. So the spelling suggested above is good.
