Anyone mention the "big" one inbound on the 11th?

They can't move Satelites. They can fire up and burn and move. They are in an orbit.

ISS can move. They can't.

Go check this out. They are all turning the first corner by Earth like race cars in the bend. Very similiar paths even though they are at different distances.

Some satellites can be maneuvered.. most can't.
A satellite is falling due to gravity..
The speed and trajectory must be precise for it to stay in orbit.
As it travels horizontally, the earth curves out from under it.. gravity keeps it on a leash.
Speed and trajectory determine the size and shape of the orbit.

Until the Conference

Greece just had a 4.0 Earthquake. Plus the swarms of smaller ones it has been experiencing for the past 2 mnths.

What are they going to say at the conference I wonder. I can hardly wait.

See the boards today. Earthquakes still cracking off most over 5 and not letting up.

They will continue for somr time but the intensity should have dropped off by now and its not. There have been a few 6's since also. About 9 of them.

On the CBC Canadian News tonight they did an indepth program on the Asteroids.

They the CANADIAN SCIENTISTS said how excited they were about all the NEW EQUIPMENT they had up there for taking all sorts of measurements.

They went on to say that they would be measuring the effects Asteroids have on Earthquakes. That they know they influence them but not sure hoe the interaction works.

Tey said they know its gravity and energy but not sure of the mechanics involved with it. That certain Asteroids have an Earthquake history as they come by.

That what ever Hemispher they pass closest too is the part of the Earth they effect as they go by.

So watch the Hemisphere as the Asteroids go by for Earthquakes in that area.

Leave it to the CANADIAN SCIENTISTS to tell it the way that it really is.

Watch the CBC my fellow Earthlings. CBC is owned by the Canadian People not the powers that be like your.

You are a rude cracker! There is an electromagnetic interaction between everything in this Universe, even small asteroids and the earth. Tunguska was ca. 60 m across, exploded ABOVE THE EARTH and yet destroyed forest for 800 square miles. That was some impressive electromagnetic chatter!!! Holden, huh? Sounds like Dr. Astro to me!

Go read 1999 Earthquakes. I want to remind everybody again what happened the year these asteroids past. It was called the year of th great quakes. They wrote a book and convened a conference on Natural Disaters because of it.

Earthquakes doubled that year.

Look at whats going on right now. The Asteroids effect the hemisphere they come closest to.

These one well at least DA114 will effect area's around Indonesia New Zealand and Australia.

They have not said what vectors the others will effect. They are big. They all have an effect.

This is very interesting. I found somthing of interest today. Another Asteroid.

2062 ATEN coming by June 25-30.

Its is a Yarkovsky Candiadate interestly enough which means it has been experiencing what is described above.

Aten was discovered by the Palomar Mountain Observatory by Eleanor F Helin who after the fact became the principal scientist for the NEAR ( Near Earth Asteroid Tracking) Project. Strange coincidence after the fact.

ATEN was the first Asteroid found to have a Semi Major Orbital Axis of less than 1AU.

A new catagory of Asteroids was thus created. The ATENS of which 16 are known and numbered.

It is the only one to date 2062 ATEN that has however been classified as being a YARKOVSKY CANDIADATE.

So the question begs an answer.

Is it also a candiadate for being an Sun Guided Missle towards Earth...?




To gather more Information on this Asteroid.

2062 ATEN has Earthquake History. Will post more when I pull it all together. Also the Yarkovsky Effect on this needs more tweeking also.
