That is so sad. I wonder what is up with his real mother and why she didn't keep in touch with him? Hope he has some kind of other family member that will take him in & care for him.

Some people don't deserve children. I don't understand how parents can do this type of thing. The article said he attacked the step-mother. Maybe she deserved it. Why haven't they pressed charges yet? Just because your child is out of control doesn't give you the right to lock them up like an animal. They should have sought help. They need to charge these people.

There was another very sad case where a father & step-mother kept a 13 yo boy in a cage and he died. It was posted here on GLP awhile back. I think the boy's name was Christian Choate (?). They were arrested but don't know if they were convicted. They had other kids but only abused Christian although the other kids were scared of the parents. It was Christian's sister who finally exposed them but only after Christian had died in the cage & they buried him on their property. What was sad is that he had written on a piece of paper before he died that all he wanted was for his family to love him and couldn't understand why they didn't.
