I'd have to meet with and talk to the scout master to get an idea of his character (this goes for any scoutmaster, by the way; not just a known gay one). And find out how many other kids would be there, and what the sleeping arrangements would be. But I wouldn't automatically disqualify him.

And not that gays are all child molesters - but on the topic of corrupted scout leaders, a good friend of mine in his late 40's was frequently molested as a boy scout, along with his brothers, by their pedo troop leader - and you can tell he has serious issues from it - it's all very sad. I think they should all have to take lie detector tests to prove they don't lust after children, or other sicko stuff, before being approved.

What is the difference between a known gay scout master and a scout master that "says he isn't gay" - nothing. Both can harm your child, and both can teach your child to be something greater.

Scouts was never about politics, at least when I was in it - and it never should be. It should be about teaching the youth about how to respect others and survive on the basics.

My dad was the scout master, for a part of my time - I talked to him about it when I was older and he said he would never let the other leaders bring in world matters, it was all about respecting each other for who they are, and bringing the love of the wilderness, gathering with other people and most importantly having fun! To bad my dad has fallen into the MSM control and has a hard time thinking for himself. He was an awesome dad growing up, and had a lot to teach - not sure what happened.

I wouldn't trust my son with anyone - even myself, that is why I plan when I have a child to do my best to be with them through their child hood and teach them that everyone is different and not to let anyone influence you to doing something that you don't want to do, to question everything and to respect everything and everyone.


Nothing was more fun that shooting BB guns, shooting arrows down at the target, carving stuff out of soap(lol cub scouts), and being with people your age having fun.

What a rotten parent you must be then, not caring if your son dies of a loathsome disease at a young age. And to top it all off in great danger of going to hell.

Was involved with the boy scouts from age 7 to about aged 20. And paedos were rampant throughout the organisation. It was the role of the older boys to protect the young ones. Included making sure that they were never one on one with scout masters.
Our parents were at fault because they turned a blind eye and didnt want to know about it. We even had a knick name for one "wandering hands", which the parents knew about, but never did anything. There was no one to complain to and you were treated as a pariah if you did.

They were every where in youth organisations, churches, St Johns etc. We even had a local cop who was a paedo who was involved in scouts, St Johns etc, so the poor kids never had a chance.

Gay has nothing to do with it, the paedos were not openly identifiable as gay. A lot were married with kids.

I personally believe in chemical or medical castration of paedos. I have worked in the prison system with paedos, and they are not treated or wish to change. Prison allows them to expand their network of contacts and learn new tricks.

The only way to stop them is to stop their perverted sexual urges. They are sick puppies and need to be stopped.
