try to have a natural birth without any pain relief if possible. the gas and air doesn't seem to have any negative affects on the baby though.

breastfeed if possible and keep the diet of the mother very plain and natural.

its a hard journey, make sure you give mum plenty of support and make sure she is doing things for her own enjoyment to avoid post natal depression.

its common for the baby not to sleep well until well over 1 yr old. I recommend baby hammocks, google them.

remember you child will learning mostly from your own behavior.

If there had been digital photography when I was pregnant I would have enjoyed taking a photo every day. There is a great one on youtube of the whole pregnancy and then the baby. Fun and a treasure to share with thechild when they are older.
