The other possibility is that what we experience as "Life" here on earth is a test in which we are given free will, the ability to love and hate, and obstacles thrown in our path according to our ability to deal with them. When this stimulation is "done" we awaken to Eternal Life in a Paradise World - or we are "deleted" and exist no longer. Hell and Sin being the cause and effect of separation from our Creator - which no creature can endure and live.

No matter if this is a giant Holographic stimulation or not - it is the only one we have right now, and the one we must pass thru on our way to eternity. Fortunately the Sacrifice that Jesus made when he came here, lived as one of us, and yet did so without sin - shows us that it could be done. He did not use his "God Powers" to protect himself from temptation. He used what he learned in the Temple when he studied there in his youth and as an adult. When Satan came into the wilderness and Tempted Christ, Jesus could have easily dispatched Satan with a platoon of Angels and kept him away for an indefinite period of time. Yes, Jesus did not do that. He rebuked and refused Satan's offers using scripture from the Old Testament (The Torah). The Bible tells us that SATAN offered JESUS the WORLD and everything in it - if only he would switch sides. What things he was offered - we as mortals could barely conceive of. But Satan did make those offers designed to appeal to Christ's Human Side. Hard to believe a creature as incredibly intelligent as SATAN would think he could tempt the SON OF GOD! But he tried.

The very human part of Jesus did not relish dying on the cross. He had faith beyond our comprehension and he knew that his sacrifice would enable mankind to be saved because his perfect life was offered as the final sacrifice to atone for the sins of man, past, present and future. Jesus had to allow the crucifixion and the beatings and all the rest of it. While he could have stopped it with a word - a single word! - he let it proceed so that humankind would not perish. So we could have a way to cleanse away all of our sins and thus be in the presence of THE CREATOR when our time here is done. All that remained was for mankind to be willing to Believe and Accept the precious gift they had been given by a LOVING GOD who was not willing to see most of humanity perish.

Simulation or not - I believe that what we do while we are here will have a direct effect on our place in eternity. However we were created, it is obvious to all that we have a physical being (this body we walk around in) and a Spiritual Being, that we call a "Soul". The body is not immortal. It wears out and dies after about 70 years. But the spirit goes on forever. It is designed to be immortal. For our GOD - raising the dead, giving life back to that which has none - and restoring a body to a spirit is trivial.

We learn more and more about our world - and as this knowledge increases we can but marvel at the Universe the Mind of God created. I cannot but help but wonder why GOD loves us as much as he does. But I am humbled and so grateful that he does love us.

Science is coming full circle. We will soon find that the Biblical description is an accurate overview of what GOD did in the past, and an accurate guidebook to what he will do in the near future. Not to mention it is also an "Instruction Manual" for a human life. Read it. Study it. The blessings that accrue to those who do are beyond price.
