I've had this happen to me (yahoo account). "They" sent spam to all my friends and family. I changed addresses and never had a problem again. I'm sure someone here could suggest some good programs to check your PC just in case. |

Black hats are hackers with evil intent, rather than kids fishing around for cheap thrills. Had it happen with my Yahoo account and couldn't get in till I found an obscure back door, and then reset my password. No problems since. |

Face Palmer User ID: 1149868 Germany 02/07/2013 05:29 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I wonder if it's a yahoo thing or a browser thing, because the techie in my home keeps looking at my browser and whispering "bot net". Then he walks away laughing evilly. Quoting: The Lump Under the Carpet "Bot net" is tech slang for a special armored and protected device. Don't worry. "The world will soon wake up to the reality that everyone is broke and can collect nothing from the bankrupt, who are owed unlimited amounts by the insolvent, who are attempting to make late payments on a bank holiday in the wrong country, with an unacceptable currency, against defaulted collateral, of which nobody is sure who holds title." Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity. The woman who is not pursued sets up the doctrine that pursuit is offensive to her sex, and wants to make it a felony. No genuinely attractive woman has any such desire. - H.L. Mencken, In Defense Of Women |

Maybe it's a silly question, but why do it? What could they possibly gain from getting into my account? Do they really want to know when the next non-school uniform day is? Or about the surprise party for my auntie's 70th?? |

Or about the surprise party for my auntie's 70th?? It's probably just to grab a whole bunch of email addresses so they can spam their friends. And sell them shit, using you as a reference. |
