The Final Battle for Damascus has just begun

There has been speculation that a victory from the Islamist rebels in Damascus will force Tehran's hand to intervene militarily in the conflict.

The Russians could also use the security of its economic and diplomatic interests inside Syria as grounds to militarily intervene and crush the fundamentalist Islamic coup inside Syria.

While the Syrian military is capable of defeating the rebels, nothing is guaranteed, leading some to fear that an incursion by Iran and/or Russia could happen if Assad's regime falls.

Final battle my arse, Government forces will push them out of Damascus again and in a few weeks the terrorists will be back, no doubt riding high on false hopes instilled by the wests propaganda war on Assad. Just because the zio-shills here have been working overtime to convince you the FSA is close to taking Damascus don't make it true.

I wonder, if the masters of illusion in the west were to stop stoking the flames of insurgency would Syria settle down, like Bahrain or has it too far gone? if the latter, Assad will fall eventually at which point play time is over and we will be looking at a regional holocaust, just not sure which side will be the victims.

Is this a biblical battle?

The Free Syrian Army is like the mercenary army that defeated Gaddafi. The FSA is made up of Jihad soldiers from all over the Muslim World who are being supported by NATO countries and Fundamentalist Muslim countries.

Assad will eventually be overrun.

Bahrain never "settled down".

The authorities in Bahrain downright smashed the uprising without mercy. That smashing would not have been possible without assistance from Saudi Arabia (ssshhhhhhh...keep this secret..and Western countries too).

Some uprisings the western world likes...others not so much.
