Tensions between Romania and Hungary-Atilla the HUN descendents want romanian land

The situation developed fast from yesterday, when after a subsecretary with Hungarian Foereign Ministry had declared that the hungarian minority in Romania needs autonomy.The hungarian minority than started to take down romanian flags from their regions official buldings and replace them with their separatist flags, with the help of hungarian minority officials (they win all the election in their areas).


Due to blody ethnic conflicts in march 1990, between romanian majority and hungarian minority, the romanian Police and Gerdamerie did not took down the separatist flags.


Yesterday, the romanian Foerign Minster called the hungarian ambassador for clarifications.The hungarian ambassador told that this is the official position of Hungary, and it is normal for the hungarian minority to put their own flags.


Today, in the morning, the Hungarian Government declared that Hungary supports hungarian autonomy in Romania, and their ambassador stance, threatening Romania with diplomatic measurres.



The Hungarian-Romanian history is extremely bloody, with both country fighting against eachother in 3 wars (WW1,WW2 and a short war after ww2, when Hugary was occupied by romanian army after hungarian army attacked Romania).

Note: the hungarian monority in Romania have the same rights as romanians, and than a couple more.Their party is the only ethnic party (with ethnic doctrine only) accepted in Europe, and in the last 23 years, their party was in ALL governments for 16 consecutive years (1996-2012).Last year, the opposition won 70% of the seats, and after popular pressure, they didn't took hungarian minority party in government, even tho they didn't needed.
