Whats the differnet eating cow and a dog or a cat?

The difference is taste and texture, no big deal.

cows are not known to be pets. society has not developed a person affection other than food.

cats and dogs have developed a personal relationship with this society. they are part of the family when it comes to many people. relied upon for love and affection. some cases they are as close to children as some people can get.

Exactly. I don't see what's with the uproar of horse meat being in Burger King burgers. Cows, horses, people, all the same shit. I'm a vegan, so I'm not a vampire bloodsucking demon, but all life is the same, and it should be respected and not brutally killed just because you cannibalistic self desires flesh. Only under certain circumstances should we eat meat. On the first page of the bible, it even promotes vegetarianism. STILL people love eat meat. No bones no blood in my kitchen!

Just read an article where scientists showed that plants feel pain.

Seems all these vegans don't realize all life is life.

Perhaps why even in the Bible it states to ask for our daily

bread and be thankful for it.

you probably would not be able to tell the dog meat but cat meat has a smell to it....during the famine year people were eating both but i stuck to just eating wild veggies with little rice was given [ ration ] back then... just could bring myself to put those meat in the mouth.... but i did try rice field rat or as they would here possum.

I agree. It's just what we're mentally accustomed to. I eat beef and pork and chicken, but I can't stand the thought of eating a dog or a cat. I know it's mental conditioning, but I still can't get past it. (I am a picky eater, though.) Once, at a fine-dining restaurant, my husband knew the head chef, so head chef gave us a complimentary salad with duck meat. I took one bite and nearly gagged picturing a little Canadian duck waddling by. Couldn't do it! But I realize it is stupid that I can't. Or that I am at least a hypocrite.

One more thing. I don't think a cow would rip out the throat of anyone trying to harm me.

dogs and cats have leaner meat.

Previously a British TV programme had shown the preparation of cat at restaurants in part of China. The diner selected a cat and observed its preparation. The conscious cat was thrown into boiling water then dumped in a pail of cold water. This made skinning easier. Some "boiled" cats were alive and moving feebly when dumped in cold water. Some were still moving during skinning and would ultimately have bled to death, perhaps during evisceration. The Chinese place great emphasis on freshness of food hence the live skinning of food animals. I spoke to a Chinese colleague who said that the word for "animal" in his native tongue translates as "moving thing" - animals are considered no more sentient than vegetables. if you think about it we eat the meat of vegetarians. The meat of carnivores, not so much
