They will likely try but maybe not. People with those types of cancers are almost never diagnosed until late stage IV, when it is considered too late for the usual treatments.

Now with an earlier diagnosis, the cancer industry stands to rake in the big bucks from chemo & radiation on those people's insurance.

This kid will hopefully start working on a cure someday in the near future. That's when he needs to worry. I'll bet somebody is already planning to buy up all his time so they can bury any cure.

i like him, but i want to know why he didn't blurt out how it's done if it's so cheap and why if he cared so much he don't just give it away! He said enough in the video to let other researchers know how he did it. He won a science fair-type award for it and had to document his methods.

Why shouldn't he make at least something for his work? It will be very cheap and he plans to sell it in drugstores.

And it isn't a cure, it is a much earlier diagnosis.

Then the doctors can put them on drugs much sooner and they can be on the drugs much longer which will be the actual cause of death.

This young man is brilliant and has a wonderful heart. I pray he goes far in medical cures and that many will be healed because others listen to him and use his techniques.

Most people act on their emotions. If it's something that sounds nice and they want to hear it, they will praise it and be very gullible and naive to it. If it's something they hate or angers them or just doesn't make them feel right, they will condemn it and still be very gullible and naive to it. It doesn't matter to them if its true or not. Especially initial reactions. It's hard for many to deprogram from that initial reaction.

If you take a a look at the Wiki article in the OP, he developed it in cooperation with Johns Hopkins school of medicine, and his research and conclusions were confirmed by Intel corporation. They'd clearly have a big stake in validating the claim.

The Wiki article also explains the methodology, which looks legitimate. It basically consists of creating a test strip which is coated with a carbon nanotube/antibody mixture of known electrical baseline properties, exposing it to a known cancer biomarker the antibody reacts with, then measuring the electrical potential of the strip and comparing it against the baseline. Very plausible IMO.

While Wiki isn't a valid source any more than YouTube is, they link to sources such as Smithsonian Magazine and other mainstream sources. His work was also published the Society for Science and the Public, a 501(C)3 nonprofit that promotes science via publications and public education initiatives. [link to apps.societyforscience.org]

Looks pretty legit to me. While discoveries like this sometimes turn out to be less than their initial impression would lead one to hope, this doesn't look like an unchecked claim or an effort to deceive.

He was programed to do it as a way to slowly open a new market. To many modern working slaves are dieing of cancer now. "The powers that be" are balancing the modern work force with this as an effort to keep "their" modern slaves at a "equal limbo" of work. Two hip replacements and a return from near lameness to full activity later, I disagree. I also had a nice near-death experience with septicemia earlier in 2012 that the local hospital kindly helped me get through.

I do agree that there is an over-reliance on certain types of drugs though, especially antibiotics and antidepressants/antipsychotics. I also agree that the medical establishment are more interested in treatment than prevention and education.

However, these problems don't render the whole industry invalid IMO. There are plenty of charlatans in the alternative medicine world too. The idea is to be an aware and educated consumer no matter what you're buying.
