I'd also add, that instead of letting the negative things demoralize and demotivate you, use them to weigh how positive of a being you are, and how much you can negate the negativity with your positivity.

Be the light in the darkness.
 Quoting: Lightning Chakra

How true - just by the mere presence of goodness, you have changed or perhaps even negated the evil and wickedness around you. Darkness is the absence of light, just as evil is the absence of goodness :-)
 Quoting: Rising Son

I'm going to have to disagree here. To me, it's all about balance.

Be both light and dark but identify with neither.

Because that is the truth.

Without dark, there is no light.

this is also an idiotic concept. what is so great about light? i want what is beyond the lie of duality.

'Mahatma Ghandi, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King'

Wow you sure picked some poor examples there!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33907695

Really? They spoke out against the injustices occurring around them and around the world, and they had the fortitude to walk the walk, instead of just talk the talk. I think you might have written that comment before you had a chance to think about it.
 Quoting: Rising Son

Nope - Ghandi caused far more harm than good (ggogle what the Hindus think about him), plus he said a lot of truly stupid things - he was 'used' and promoted by the illuminists to achieve their goals.

Mother Theresa - there has been heaps written about her!

MLK - an empty grandstanding opportunist hypocrite windbag mostly - again put on front stage to promote a hidden agenda.

No one will ever be perfect, and with that in mind, what you have said starts to makes sense. However, accepting the darkness inside of you is surrendering to it, and you cannot have darkness while you have light. It may seem like you have struck a balance, but that balance will not last, because sooner or later, you must choose a master - and you cannot serve two opposite masters.
"Be still, and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10

Truth needs no validation because it is self-evident and undeniable. Therefore, anything that requires validation to be realized or justified as truth must contain at least some degree of falsehood.

Re: The Greatest Purveyor Of Evil In The World Is The Indifference And Apathy Of Good People
A servile, obedient people, will always produce tyrants.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33904447

That depends on who or what they are obedient to. If they are obedient to their rulers, politicians, or presidents, then I would agree with you. However, they could also be obedient to the principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, while resistant to any and all who threaten those principles.
 Quoting: Rising Son

Life goes against the rules...always rebelling.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33904447

That depends on your life perspective - if you are resistant to all things of order, and choose to live against the grain on each and every thing you do, then you eliminate the possibility that there may be some goodness in order and civility.

Everyone is different, but we all must find a way to peacefully live together. Trying to relate to someone different or being empathetic goes a long way in that endeavor, but it is also important to remember your individuality, and not allow yourself to be a floor mat for the world.

We have no business trying to control it.

It is what it is.

Did you EVER think for a moment that dark doesn't play fair? That dark runs with scissors? THAT DARK IS IMBALANCE?

How, exacctly, do balance light and dark, when light IS balance, and dark IS imbalance?

Do you drooling iddiots EVER think for yourselves? Do you EVER look up from your doobie and your stupid platitudes and your fucking daisies in your fucking hair and think about the fact that THE PURPOSE OF GOOD IS TO FIGHT EVIL?

You want to be a zen master? Get the fuck out of here and go live in a monastery. In the real world, you moral fucking coward, you have to choose - light OR dark. Because while you're "embracing opposites," you're blocking light from getting a clear shot at darkness, while darkness is cutting a victim's throat.

Not exactly - your concept of "oneness" is an idea that was conceived to bring peace with all that is around you, to include the darkness. However, accepting the darkness within you and around you is the same indifference and apathy toward evil that I spoke about in the first part of this thread. When you spend your life being indifferent to everything, all you have done is removed yourself from life to bring yourself peace, and in a world filled with indifference, evil prevails. Therefore, you are taking a side even if you think you are not.

And as for days, you're out of time, and don't think I don't know it.

On behalf of the 200 million murdered people of socialist countries on whose dead bodies you stand smirking, and on behalf of the lineage of true dharma masters you invoke to front your moral cowardice, and on behalf of a world of confused young people who are mislead by your words of moral suicide, I pray that you - and yours - be removed from the human race and be shut in a demon realm that matches the ferocity of your hypocrisy and malice, and that you be denied the mercy of that you deny to the moral consciences of your victims. May you - and yours - be forced to drink your own poison to the last drop.

That's called bug spray, grasshopper.

The world exists along the spectrum of duality, and the idea that "oneness" is the true reality and that duality is false is the very reason evil has been allowed to continue and grow in strength. "Oneness" is an illusion, perhaps one of the greatest tricks by those who dwell in the darkness. You cannot play both sides and pretend to transcend the conflict between good and evil.

Your condescending tone is very unbecoming of you. Have you ever thought that it is you that is deceived and ignorant? By your code of ethics (if it even rates that distinction), you would be one to ignore the cries of a woman getting raped in a dark alley because it would be choosing sides. You would also be one to ignore the cries for help of a young child being molested and murdered by a pedophile. The fact that it does not bother you that you did nothing to try and help the innocent is a symptom of the darkness that has grown within you.

You must expel the evil from within you before you can focus on the evil outside of you. I agree, our tax dollars go toward paying for some very evil things, and our continued agreement/compliance with this scenario is exactly the kind of indifference we've been talking about. There is most definitely taxation without representation occurring, and we have allowed it to happen for a while now.

However, you cannot build a house on a poor foundation, and so you must begin by setting your own affairs in order before moving on to bigger things. You cannot run before you walk, and you cannot walk before you crawl.

Re: The Greatest Purveyor Of Evil In The World Is The Indifference And Apathy Of Good People
Evil is easy to spot today, of that fact there is no doubt. From the genocide occurring in Syria to the worldwide victims of human trafficking and rape, examples of evil are never short in supply, abundance, and severity. However, this evil does not occur in a vacuum of indicators, causes, and pain - it occurs solely on the grounds that the good people in this world who know it is wrong choose to do nothing about it. It is this lack of concern and utter complacency that has led to the culture of corruption, immorality, violence, and death we see today.

Many will claim that there is nothing that can be done, that the way the world works is beyond their individual or collective ability to affect it. On the surface, this may seem accurate, but it ignores the incredible examples of individuals, lone people in history that have made an amazing and lasting impact on the world. These are people like Mahatma Ghandi, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King, and countless others who chose to be the change instead of continuing to regret the sadness of reality.

We cannot count on political leaders and those in power to make this happen for us, they are too far gone in their aspirations and ambitions to care about the state of the world, least of all the benefit of others. We must do this, all of us, no matter where you come from, what you do for work, or what your political or religious leanings may be. We can help to bring about real change by our actions, by our own example. You can be an inspiration to others if you want to, and when you can bring hope to someone who would not have had it otherwise, you become a hero.

Some very encouraging words of wisdom here OP.

I used to say the same but unfortunately, experience in this world thought me that evil has a lot of help from much greater power than we think. There are things so absurd, i often wonder if this reality is not just a big cruel joke. The fact that so many of those awful things you mentioned are happening without anyone or anything being able to stop them just prove how powerless we are made to be not just because we want to but because we just can't.

Sometimes a great evil takes a long time to build up which make it unstoppable when it comes full fruition, yet you'd think we'd be able see the signs and prevent such evil from happening but it still happens. There are greater dark forces at work that are hindering the good forces. This is why you get the duality knee-jerk response.

It was checkmate when they established the Act against Patriots. Nothing you can do at that point but get murdered.

You have every reason to be pessimistic, and for that, I do not blame you in the least. Another one of the tricks that dark forces have been able to master is that of deception, and with a world so deceived, how can there be any good? You try not to fault people who are deceived, especially considering that we have all been deceived at one point or another, and continue to be.

I want to bring you hope, because I know there is much good in the world, and it is very strong. The difference is that goodness is not boastful, it is not arrogant, and it needs no validation from anyone. The proof of this is found in those who care for the sick and the needy, because they do not do it for any other reason other than because they love their brothers and sisters in this world. They are the ones who go unsung, but that is okay, because appreciation and fame do not sustain them, the love within them does.

There is a correction coming, call it judgment day or revelation or whatever you want, but I feel that it is close at hand, and we are experiencing the first events. Many believe this will happen with shock and awe, but I believe it will happen much less dramatically. The first and foremost impetus and focal point of this shift, this reckoning, is simply truth. If you believe what I am telling you, do not fret anymore - we are on the cusp of something amazing, I know this in my heart :-)
"Be still, and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10

Truth needs no validation because it is self-evident and undeniable. Therefore, anything that requires validation to be realized or justified as truth must contain at least some degree of falsehood.

Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Nooo, say it isn't so? Whatcha got on Mother T? I suppose as long as you don't tell me they were crazy reptilians looshing our fear or implanting/mind controlling victims or shooting down innocents with drones or allowing the food chain to be poisoned or....... I'll have to leave it up to the Creator/Force to place too much judgement on that,,,

So to Summarize,

Even flawed people, can accomplish Amazing Things!!

It is only evil that blames evil on good people. Wake up people, don't let evil blame you for its actions.
