That is what gets us there. People think it is an angry God killing people. In fact, it is the summation of human choices that leads us to destroy ourselves and open the gats of hell itself. God is just letting us know beforehand what will happen.

The apocolypse isn't evil (unless you're refering to what is described in Revelations). There is no avoiding any truely apocolyptic event, to think you can is beyond egotisical (however it is spelt). The event would be at minimum a global event or as much as a universal or even multi-universal or some other unconcievably large scale event. It is madness to think anyone could have the power to advert or avoid such.
