On the contrary, I have a close female friend from PNG who has had witchcraft used against her.

She has told me many stories about how her church pastor's son haunts her dreams (and he has openly told her some of the events and specific details concerning her dreams).

There was one time where he had actually tried to strangle her boyfriend and her in the same night. Both woke up at the same time, and her boyfriend had to call her out of fright. Where we live is Brisbane, and her boyfriend dreamt that he was walking in the halls at our accommodation (at university) (when he lives in PNG - only visited once). He opened the door to her room in his dream and saw a shadowy figure trying to strangle her but he turned on him. That's when she called him to tell him what had happened and woke him from his dream of being strangled by the same guy who was strangling her.

He also manipulated her dream while she was in hiding from him (yeah it really got that serious) and her little sister walked into her room at night (sleeping in the attic) and saw a shadowy figure lying at the end of her bed. She assumed it was her boyfriend (which doesn't explain them not being in the same bed). But the figure walked out of the hole to the attic, and her boyfriend caught a glimpse as it walked past the room he was watching TV in. He ended up following it to the door (that this figure left open - as if wishing him to follow it).

I have another friend from Kenya, and some of the witchcraft that goes on there is astounding. They often kill people to gain a benefit.

Not long ago in PNG there was also a case where a PNG man ate his baby child raw and alive, ripped off the head and walked down the street.

While there are people who actively identify as witches/satanists in western culture, it's more of a dopey consumer tribalism thing, than real, like McPaganism, McWitchcraft, it's uh alleged to be kewl. The use of the phrase 'demon, what is your name?', same as Jesus used, works for me. But like I've said a coupla times now, PNG is not a christian country, their witch accusations come out of juju superstition, not biblical beliefs.
