The death of the "America" I grew up with...first denial, now I'm grieving.
Title pretty much says it all.

I've tried to overlook the signs for years. I can't ignore it anymore.

Evil people with evil intent have successfully infiltrated all levels of government and the mass media, and I see no way to halt the coming destruction of what our founders gave us all to safeguard.

Whatever the reasons....action, inaction......we've let them and our grandchildren down.

We have failed.

I'm now grieving for all that was good decent and honorable about America.

I don't know how long this grief process will take or what comes next.

Just needed to vent.

You're HARDLY alone in feeling this way.

I too grieve for my adult children (18 & 22) and unborn (as of yet) grand children.

WTF happened to the once great country I grew-up in???

Op, there is hope.

While times are indeed getting darker and the worst is yet to come, there is still hope.

I am 19 and know that the future will be unlike anything humanity has seen in past decades and centuries.

However, we still have each other.
We still have our families.

Stay close to them, and do your absolute best to hold on to them. Even with this seemingly unavoidable gray horizon, there is still hope.

Be a leader in your family.

If you are a Christian, this land is not your home.
We can grieve for what might have been,
or what should have been, and we can beat ourselves
up for what we did or didn't do,

but in eternity ALL of this will be gone
and forgotten forever.

NOTHING of this world with all its sins and woes
will ever be remembered by the redeemed of the Lord,
except for what Christ did for us on the cross.
(He will bear those scars for all eternity)

So, grieve if you must, but when you are done,
set your heart on your true home.

I weep as well. The only future for our kids is the draft into WW3. And a Book of Eli, Mad Max, Post apocalyptic world for our grandkids. I imagine our Grandkids will not know what new shoes are, or new things in stores, It dont look good.

Small town parades
filled with floats of smiling children
Cheerleaders dazzling crowds
At home town games
Flags of America waving,
Serenely displayed
On quiet porches
And on
Our Veterans graves
Laughter in the neighborhood
For a summer block party
Music playing softly
during a Sunday morning breakfast
The local paper rustling
while Moms and Dads
Chatted eagerly
About all the news
Of their very
Own community

Small pleasures in Small Town America

May they rest in peace.

And that is what happened. There are
no small town communities anymore/
They all got swallowed up by taxes and gluttonous spending,
in trying to make their towns into cities.

The near future may not be as nice and pleasant as the past, and there will be a lot of sadness. But there also will be smiling children, and parents teaching them skills. They will play games and music. There will be great acts of courage and love, and they once again will learn to behold and enjoy the little things in life. Because in the end, that's what separates us from those who try to destroy us.

It's over for this country. Death is upon the land and you will soon see drone strikes killing american citizens. Location will be everything with what's coming down the pike.

Forsake her and let every man flee into his own country."

Those words were spoken to God's People Babylon had uprooted

Most Americans whose forefathers have lived in America for
generations have no country to which to flee.

Poignant bible verse there.

It's OK. The world is a big place.

Ireland and Israel let their descendents return with new citizenships awaiting them.

Other countries want business and tourism, and welcome Americans and others who can bring either.
