I met a young woman who grew up in a cult when I lived in Vancouver. She was super nice but also very messed up. She said they used to do rituals, and family members were made to have sex with each other, she but wouldn't tell me if they did sacrifices etc. She didn't want to go into too much detail.

i think its a womans shelter. supposedly they have some kind of art program for the woman that stay at the shelter. emma was supposed to have been very artsy, and she was known to chat with the homeless, give moral support to street people, so i wonder if she was kinda helping out there at the shelter for the art program and helping the homeless....

I was discussing the book "Michelle Remembers" with some guys in a geophysical crew that I was working with back in the 80s.

One of the guys told me this story of something unusual that happened to him on Vancouver Island.

They were driving a Suburban (big SUV) and skidded off the road. The vehicle was teetering on the edge of a cliff. Two guys went hiking down the road to find a phone and tow truck. They left the other guy to guard the SUV.

When they got back with a tow truck their crew member wasn't there, but after seeing the tow truck he came out of hiding in the woods.

I've spent many summers in Victoria, beautiful old city, I must say. My mother grew up in oak bay. She seems to think there is some truth to these rumors, specifically the tunnels leading out from the Empress and that old club (forgot the name, and btw her grandfather was a mason!). I'm probably driving out west this August and will definitely make time for some exploring. I might phone my uncle, he's in realestate and has an extensive knowledge of the city, so he must know something about these tunnels. I'll post again if i find out anything new.
