Coffee is the opiate of the modern masses
Go into the nearest Starbucks or equivalent and watch the people. It's like watching them take their meds.

Yep, and they are getting lots of fluoride water with it. Research what fluoride in our water really does to the human body. Lots of coffee and lots of fluroide water with it.

Maybe so. I know I'm addicted! BAD HEADACHES and TIRED if I miss my morning 2 cups! Ouch!

On the other hand, 2 cups of coffee (organic and fair trade of course) a day is not going to seriously harm my health.

Re: Coffee is the opiate of the modern masses
I've tried to switch to green tea or other non-caffeine alternatives. I can over time break the caffeine addiction, but I always go back to coffee. It's a major comfort food. I drank coffee with my mom from the time I was a kid. One of my earliest memories is snagging her cold black INSTANT (yech) coffee from the table and loving it.

Starbucks burns the beans so they will stay fresh. now, I don't know about this coca oil theory... but i know for sure that the coffee they make tastes like poo.

sumatran for me please. fresh OR well aged, medium roast, fresh ground, brewed lovingly with freshly filtered water, steeped for 3 minutes at which point the perhfect amount of beautiful oils are extracted; producing the most gloriously opiate like beverage known to mankind.

If The World Ran Out Of Coffee or Stange ObservationsIn A Coffee Shop, sitting With My Parents in 1983

If the world ran out of coffee
What would we drink?
If the world ran out of coffee
How would we pass the time of day?
If the world ran out of coffee
How would we stay awake?
If the world ran out of coffee
Would we find a substitute?
If the world ran out of coffee
How could the minions survive?
If the world ran out of coffee
What would happen to Brazil?
If the world ran out of coffee
We'd drink tea and make Ceylon rich.

I read an apple to start off the day could give you the same wake up a cup of coffee gives. But, we are programmed mindwise for that addiction to coffee aren't we. I am just wondering about the bottled so it reads "spring water" in the stores, are they truly spring water? Make sure it has no fluoride added.
