ConnecticutWXGuy11:01 AM GMT em 09 de Fevereiro de 2013 Looking at storm reports, it appears that a swath of 30+ inch snow totals exists from central Long Island up through central and parts of eastern Connecticut. Numerous reports of plows getting stuck.... not to mention I am currently watching a plow driver dig his plow out after he got stuck on Route 63 which is in close proximity to my house. For Connecticut, this storm was the storm of all storms. The only parts of cars visible are the top couple inches of radio antennas. About an hour ago, I witnessed two fire trucks headed towards a call waiting for a plow to plow for them... this is the same plow that got stuck and they had to wait for a secondary plow that appeared better equipped to arrive. This is just absolutely surreal, folks. If you don't live here you can't even begin to imagine the scene. I feel bad for the troubles this storm has caused, but honestly I am incredibly thankful to have gotten an opportunity to see it in person. To a weather buff, this is just an absolute masterpiece... I don't know if I'll ever look at any storm the same again unless it happens to rival this one. |

You decide: [link to cimss.ssec.wisc.edu] … Holy Caramba!, Boston is just hammered right now Torchia was born in 1620. He was apprenticed in Leyden under the Elzevir family. After returning to Venice he published small works on philosophical and esoteric themes. In 1666, Torchia published De Umbrarum Regni Novem Portis (The Nine Doors to the Kingdom of Shadows), which was in turn based on the Delomelanicon, or Invocation of Darkness, a work supposedly written by Lucifer and that would allow the reader to summon devils. The Inquisition condemned Torchia for magic and witchcraft and burned him at the stake in 1667. |
Vermonster User ID: 33656698 United States 02/09/2013 07:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Woke up this morning to high winds. We didn't get much more snow overnight, but the winds are extremely heavy this morning. Heard about many car accidents yesterday, including a town that didn't close its schools; one of their school buses hit a telephone pole. Thoughts go out to Boston, the Cape, LI, and other coastal areas being heavily affected. Heard on the radio that hundreds of thousands are without power. |

Well maybe another inch or so, but nothing like what I was expecting. I see others got a lot though...stay safe! There's about 2 1/2 feet or more of snow on the ground. Snow reaches the top of my pickup truck tires. Still snowing and there is some light wind. Look's absolutely gorgeous. Deer tracks are first marks in the pristine snow. The wild animals will find it hard to find food for some time. Bless them. oneLOVE oneLOVEsoulJAH |
