Leave the LAPD alone
All I see here is people piling onto the LAPD. Civil rights this, police brutality that, shooting innocent bystanders blah blah blah.

If you've never been a cop you wouldn't understand. You have to face threats from every possible angle. It's like being a soldier in a foreign battlefield where the enemy dress like everyone else. Every single civilian you meet is a potential insurgent, and if you want to survive you have to assume that they are.

Look, you have to appreciate the stress they're under, more so right now than ever. A brother cop has been brutally slain... by a brother cop... It's a very confusing situation. They'll get him, rest assured, and put him down like the dog that he is, but until you just have to accept that there is going to be some collateral damage. A lot of collateral damage. Yes, "innocent" people will die, but that's what happens in a war when the enemy population harbors the guerrillas in its midst.

But the real victims in all of this? The cops who will have to kill one of their own. And they'll have to live with that for the rest of their lives. So put yourselves in their shoes for just a moment, and think about that.

Just maybe if there weren't thousands of codes and statutes, the police wouldn't have to treat everyone like a criminal. The more "laws" they make, the more "criminals" they produce.

All I see here is people shitting onto the LAPD. Because it the right thing to do, because police brutality, shooting innocent bystanders blah blah blah.

If you've never been a cop you wouldn't understand. You have to face threats from every possible angle. It's like being a soldier in a foreign battlefield where the enemy dress like everyone else. Every single civilian you meet is an insurgent, and if you want shits and giggles you have to assume treat them as if they are.

Look, you have to pretend they're suffering from stress, more so right now than ever. A brother cop has been brutally slain... by a brother cop... It's a very confusing situation, because cops don't kill cops they kill citizens. They'll get you, rest assured, and put you down like the dog that they see you as, but until then you just have to accept that there is going to be some collateral damage. A lot of collateral damage. Yes, "innocent" people will die, but that's what happens in a war when the enemy population harbors the guerrillas in its midst.

But the real victims in all of this? The citizens who will have to be killed one oat a time. And you'll have to live with that for the rest of your lives. So put yourselves in their shoes for just a moment, and think about that.

WHat do you make of the cop killers manifesto that alludes to complete and utter corruption within LAPD?

I disagree with the cop killers way of handling the issue, but once he is caught or killed there is no way LAPD can get around what is in the manifesto

LAPD has been totally exposed.

I don't care what his "manifesto" says. When he joined the force he was joining a sacred brotherhood, and no matter what he saw after that point, he was bound to a code of silence. I don't care if it was corruption, brutality or murder, youdon't report a fellow cop.

They are public servants period. We are the public and should not be treated as the enemy. This is what you get when you hire ex-military because they see everyone as an insurgent. This is pitiful and we are going to have to start taking serious action against this police state we're living in.

Then you really should read the manifesto.

Are you saying OP that because he joined the police force he should therefore cover up all criminality he discovers within LAPD.

I thought he took an oath to the people?

Like I said, I dont agree with his methods, he has clearly snapped.

However it sounds to me like LAPD should be cleared out from the top on down.
