I hope they get completely wiped out. They don't respect nature so why should nature respect them. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26875750 You have a story where they do this??? I'm sorry you beat me to it. I heard something very upsetting and I don't know if it's true. After Japan got some relief money supposedly they used part of it to go whale hunting. If true, then they did not learn their lesson. I'm trying to research this for validity. Thanks AC TOKYO — A wildlife conservation group has said in a report that Japan has been propping up its whaling industry with nearly $400 million in tax money in recent years, stepping up subsidies even as the consumption of whale meat has slumped. They did get paid however the funds didn't go to the the villagers. So sick, just for the love of a dollar. Japan used part of their earthquake relief fund to pay for their whale hunt. Disgusting! Maybe they need another huge quake. |

The animals are used and not wasted, so I don't have a problem with it...if they waste them or over hunt to the point of endangering them, that's a different issue. Anonymous Coward User ID: 33499190 France 02/08/2013 07:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | it is being reported by a guy named Sipuru Rove who I surmise works at the National disaster management office of the Solomon islands, that the un-inhabited island of Tinakula located just 50 kilometers north of Lata has been making strange sounds and booming like noises since the mag 8 a few days ago. This coming via Radio New Zealand international and in turn being picked up on the SOTT website; The area of course is in a seismically extremely active zone like many posters on here point out and also has a massive amount of active volcanoes. The question I have is this. Should these up tick in seismic activity result in an underwater volcanic eruption of massive proportions, would it be safe to state that the east coast Aus be effected by any Tsunami caused? |

[link to www.google.com (secure)] In addition they believe that there is a third gender; male, female, and fa'afafine. Fa’afafine is a “third gender” in the Solomon Islands. They are biological males with strong feminine gender “orientation,” which their parents identify in childhood, causing them to raise the child as a female or “third gender” child. They have distinct gender roles, different from men and women, and have sex with everyone (men, women, other fa’afafines). They claim that a sexual relationship between a male and a fa’afafine is not considered same-gender sex. [link to www.godhatestheworld.com] |

EA Blair User ID: 33924176 Australia 02/08/2013 08:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I wrote this on the other thread (that didn't get pinned), and I thought you also might find it interesting. You also have to take into consideration where these quakes are taking place. Right at the intersection - a right angle if you like - of two trenches. Here you go: "Large underthrusting earthquakes in the Solomon Islands tend to occur as multiplets, separated by a few hours to several days in time and 30-100 km in space. The largest sequence, a doublet on July 14, 1971 (Mw = 8.0) and July 26, 1971 (Mw = 8.1), is particularly unusual in that it occured at the junction of two trenches, with the July 14 event in the Solomon Islands Trench preceding the July 26 rupture in the New Britain Trench." [link to deepblue.lib.umich.edu] A doublet 12 days apart at the exact spot these latest quakes are taking place. So, it is very plausible that there could be another quake of similar or larger magnitude still to come. And, I tend to think that is what will happen. |

Quoting: Goofy for God At least nine people, including a child, were killed when a powerful earthquake set off a small tsunami that sent 1.5-meter (4 foot, 11-inch) waves roaring inland on Santa Cruz Island, in the eastern Solomons, on Wednesday. Around 100 homes across five villages were damaged or destroyed. [link to www.weather.com] [link to earthquake.usgs.gov] Great info man .... I found a video that Covers it in depth !!
