Police Officer Slaps US Soldier

Keep in mind this video was sent anonymously from inside the police department. So clearly this officer(and entire department) has a history.

He just needed an attitude adjustment, and looks like it worked...

Power-hungry cops. This man was clearly in shock from being hit and an attempted robbery. The cop is an aggressive jerk who wants to maintain his power in the situation. This is why cops suck. Enforcing the law does not mean you're above it and can assault anyone you want, much less the victim of a crime.

I hope this cop spends just a few days in jail, with the general population. Maybe his ego can be brought back down to size.

Certainly needed an attitude adjustment but maybe saying hey listen man were here to help calm down before going high school bully on him?

Ive seen a lot of these videos lately and honestly some are justified but some are outrageous

The moral of the story is always be polite...you don't have to kiss ass to be polite.

Neither party needed to kiss ass, but some calm, mutual understanding would be nice. Many police officers could use more training in how to handle emergency situations. As someone who has worked in the mental health field, I constantly see easier solutions to these situations than the use of violent force. All too often, these officers reach for their taser or baton (or in this case, their hand) before rationalizing the situation and creating a calm atmosphere before proceeding.

On the flip side, I know some really fantastic police officers who are kind, thoughtful, and humane in their enforcement of law.

Yes I agree he did come off wrong but he was obviously upset that he just got his ass beat.

Mostly agree with your posts Brief but always saying Police are in the right isnt always the right answer. I understand they put their lives on the line daily to fight the scum of the earth but some certainly need their own attitudes adjusted.

Not every cop is polite super nice guy. Some are power hungry assholes.

In this situation yes the kid did NOT need to step up like he did and evidently that's all it took to set the officer off. But maybe this wasn't the first time this officer did something like this

Good find...I didn't see the move the cop made but I think he had justification. The kid was a smart ass and was physically aggressive.

He should have handled himself better and the cops probably would have treated him better.

You have to show respect for the officer until he proves he doesn't deserve it. I thought the kid was a punk and a bully and he stepped into the wrong man's space. That would have probably went down the same way if the cop was off duty having a beer at the local bar.
