Cop assaulted the kid plain and simple. The cop should be arrested and charged. I don't care what state this happened in, cops can't punch you out for voicing your opinion. Period.

For those saying the kid deserved it, its not about that. Obviously, the kid was being cocky and rude. Obviously, the kid was visibly upset after being robbed and this is how he was expressing himself. Of course he was being jerky. But that isnt the point.

The officers are not judges, there to apply punishment. They are there to protect and serve. Were they protecting? Nope. Were they serving? Nope. They were punishing 'bad behavior', again, thats not their job.

It was a battle of balls. kid gets ballsy, cop lets it get to him and then he gets ballsier back. It was 'personal' to the cop, he took it personal.

Also, look at the angle of the vid. Obviously the cop knew exactly where to take him, to avoid being caught on the cam. That to me, shows experience. Which means he probably has behaved like this before.

In all reality, it shows how desensitized these cops are to human life. I dont think its about lack of training, they get plenty. They do have tough jobs, and of course that is what causes this desensitization, they just have no regard for human decency. Maybe they need some time off, like a year, rotate cops back to the desk or something, I dont know.

Finally, what they did to retaliate to the kid was excessive, and like I said, they knew it was, completely out of camera angle.

That was my whole purpose. Hence, I did NOT fail, I succeeded.

It is obvious the police officer steps to the victim. The police are on the taxpayers time clock. This cop should never be allowed to wear a badge again.

A lot of cops I know are in serious need of an attitude adjustment as well, but if I gave them one, I'd probably get arrested.

Which seems totally unfair to me.

the cops were totally justified in what they did, if you allow a young immature cocky punk , to dictate and escalate a situation things could have been worse, its like the great late barney fife used to say .... nip it in the bud. hopefully he learned a lesson his parents failed to teach him, respect your elders and authority. thats all have a little respect .
