Police Officer Slaps US Soldier

Another extremely disturbing and disgusting part of the military industrial complex. I'm guessing Professor may have never heard of that term before though

If a police officer cannot act professionaly when faced with all sorts then said police officer is not mentaly capable of doing the job.

Respect works both ways. What police want seems to be abject submission and groveling.

In this case the police could have and should have recognized the emotional state of the young man and defused the situation as a first step. Instead the police person went directly to violence.

It was a stupid first response and it is appalling that so many people support it.

I have been in that situation and didn't have to resort to violence.

When you have the gun ,badge and the power of the state behind you it isn't necessary to go immediately to violence.

The young guy had some righteous anger because he was under the mistaken impression that police are supposed to serve and protect.

The interesting thing is the police have more than likely made a life long enemy.

Because he now understands exactly what they really are.

i watched it again and he clearly had him by the throat as the guy said he couldn't breath so the pig is a POS, which we knew all along anyway.

Agreed the kid was a bit of a punk and gave the cops attitude. But he had just been through a confrontation and was probably scared shitless but didn't want to show it.

The cop CLEARLY over-reacted. He had no cause to hit the boy. He was not threatened. There was no weapon brandished (other than the cops, possibly.

Is it necessary to kiss the cops ass to avoid being beaten when you call them? But then Vallejo has always had a reputation for cops who are mostly assholes. Anyone with any street sense and awareness of the area knows to avoid that shitty little town if you can possibly do so.

Cop didnt have to say I'm not on your time. That was escalation knowing he had the Marine card, attitude and sucker punch. A goomer like that can't be fixed. Sociopath on the squad needs to go.

You guys in the former communist countries have the right attitude. To bad "americans" still have that to learn.

Looks like the young soldier learned it though. He will never again, if he has any intelligence, view the police as anything good.

I hate arrogant cocky cops that think they can do whatever they want and I hate military personnel that think they are bad asses just because they are military or X military.

Too bad they did not shoot each other. The human race would be better off without either of these idiots.

And.....getting back to the topic at hand.......the police officer was wrong....just plain wrong to slap/punch the 22 year old punk down. That's clearly brutality. A minute more of listening to the young man vent and then patiently asking him to calm down so he could clearly understand his predicament in order to resolve it would have been the professional and correct way to handle this. And please don't tell me that the police are not trained to handle this type of situation. Clearly this particular officer took it personally as regards the military. There needed to be a grown up here on the scene.

Since it was mailed into the media......seems there is the problem in a nutshell.....duh....obviously there are good guys in the department who are looking for some justice. Must be really bad. "Both cops are bad."

What I find so extremely amusing now, is the immense IRONY. If you understand something about the human psyche or the soul, you will see that this cop hardly has one. The irony is, in an attempt to make him BETTER than the VICTIM, he punches the guy. His *** mind feels a sense of gratification. The gratification makes him feel superior. But its an illusion. He ain't superior to this kid. He never was, never is, and never will be. What he is in reality is ***. Just as he is here now. Once he passes away from this world of ILLUSION and the lie his ego keeps him in, he will find himself in a world of pain, and ugliness. He will see himself as he really is, a soulless body that has feces for limbs, with shit arms, hands in the shape of shit, feet, toes and a head all made out of shit. He will scurry away in the crevices of hell envying the cockroaches for their superior body parts. In his anguish he will wonder why he is what he is. And then he will remember all his indecencies. Then on his return he may have more modesty towards other people. So, this guy, if his brain is executing some reward mechanism for punching this guy to the ground and feeling stronger, think again. cops kinda at fault, 45 minutes to respond to a call, suspect obviously injured and 2 people tried to rob him. oh did i say 45 minutes to respond to an attempted robbery and assault call? isnt the police motto to serve and protect?

You are right....the officers were not professional and actions were sick. They do not deserve to wear the badge. Hope they both are fired. Wouldn't want them showing up for an emergency for myself or my family. They clearly, are abusive and this is not what our tax dollars pay for.

I've known many police officers through the years who are great people and professional......but, the 2 (two) in the video are not.

This question as simple as it sounds is the most incriminating question that can be asked of you. Be polite, but not forthcoming with information. It's their job to determine if there is enough "evidence " to charge you a crime or traffic violation. Don't help them do their job.
