If he is truly a Soldier, he did not act like one. Him and his fist-line supervisor NCO both need adjustments. NCO's are Leader/Trainers, and this Soldier is clearly lacking the mentorship of a Good NCO.

1. My Soldiers, don't get mouthy and disrespectful with "State-side" Law Enforcement.

2. My Soldiers would have fought back, like a Combat Soldier.

3. My Soldiers would have Called Me before dialing 911 and I would have brought the necessary Man-Power to deal with whatever situation arises.

4. If the Local Policing Force needs the Adjustment, the adjustment would come at a time they least expect it and it would be overwhelming and overpowering. Just like we did back at Fort Polk, LA in the 1990's

*After seeing the video of the Former Marine/Police SGT. act as he did, I would have counseled my Soldier and had him work for the Police department a few weekends in their Motor pool as corrective training

The Former Marine/Police SGT. made an "On the Spot Correction
" and even excepted the young disrespectful Soldiers apology.

End of Incident.

I being prior service agree, Biscuits has spoken the truth.

Good old boys from yesteryear......yada, yada. Still missing the point. Just one thing......The ex marine cop is now a civilian police officer. His job is to protect and serve. Not beat a light weight smart ass kid into submission. A few well chosen words could have worked. But, why bother....violence and degradation is so much more fun. Especially if you're a big fat tub of shit. Good thing he didn't have to chase the kid.

Enjoy the odor that being piss ignorant imposes on your lack of wisdom. You remind me of the 23 year old crying in front of our platton because he was called soom pretty nasty names and humilated.....rightly so, Called a weakly coward motherf&*r by our DI.......Cried like a little bitch, glad he washed out due to his tantrums of "hurt feelings" he was.

BOHICA Huh? It applies. The cop ain't a DI, you gotta put that away sometime. Soldier or Marine or not. You are in a civilian situation. If I say that I never made an on the spot correction to a whiny trainee or troop I would be lying. I will tell you this that kind of stuff for the past 20, 30 years can very likely get you in front of the old man if not a court martial. Laugh if you want, but I personally know of a couple of incidents that wreaked military careers for very similar incidents. Granted those were in REMF situations. Downrange another story.

Cop had no business using physical force in that situation. Especially when it's being recorded.
