Good thing about America. My partner and I have ten properties, from North Dakota to California...and no one cares.... We go from place to place, when we choose to. And in Europe, they share the same buildings and call them home. I call them apartments. Geez, We have snow here, but a three story house, a farm in North Dakota, and 2 other houses in the desert...The only probel we have is where the dog wants to spend the week.

Prussia was an important European country that encompassed (roughly) Germany and the north part of what is now Poland, into Russia. Prussia disappeared bit by bit after WWI and WWII, and was finally dissolved in about 1847. Your grandmother could have come from Germany, or if she was born east of the Oder River prior to WWII.

My grandmother was born in Prussia too, in the area called Pomerania. Now her birthplace is in Poland.

One thing is for sure, they had to coolest battle dress uniforms and helmets in WWII. I enjoy watching the authentic films seeing German Army do battle. They were very good at what they did.

Allied bombers wiped out their military industrial complex and they had very little to work it, plus two fronts to deal with. Lastly, an extreme leader making insane tactical decisions.
