IMHO the timing is slightly off. The best bet for large EQs have always been around March-April for the past few years coz' it fits the "Dark Star Alignment" timeline. Look below:

Feb 27 2010: Mag 8.8 Chile
March 11 2011: Mag 9.0 Japan
April 11 2012: Double Mag 8.7 and Mag 8.2 that broke the Indo-Aussie plate.

Why confine yourself to less than 10 on the Richter Scale. For an earthquake to be felt worldwide we are looking at 18 to 30 on the Richter Scale. One thing for sure it will strike in the Rift Valley extending from Africa northward into Israel.
