Findus is a british company, therefore you assume British grown food. Or clear labelling to say otherwise. Findus is now fucked, lost trust. Personally, I don't eat the shite, and if I feel like a burger, I get steak burgers from local butcher. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15740069 Most would turn their nose up at it because it is inferior quality. Inferior quality? All that powerful horse muscle is certainly better quality than the fatty lazy cow! Actually its the Marbling (fat) that makes meat tender. Horse meat is Tough because it is lean. Iam a trained Chef. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 7136951 Canada 02/08/2013 01:32 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Eating Horsemeat is a sign of Bad Times. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15740069 Most would turn their nose up at it because it is inferior quality. If they are resorting to Horsemeat it speaks volumes. What a bunch of fools around here. Fuck me. Horse meat is way better than cow. Leaner and sweeter. The Europeans have been eating horse meat for centuries. Cows replaced horses because horses have value as they are good for more than eating. Beasts of burden. Riding. Carts. Plows. Without horses the Native Indian populations never would have thrived the way they did. Hence the value everybody quit eating them and raiseing them. An ubundence of horses over the years with the green revelution and crop production lead to high populations of horses so we started eating them again. I raised horses for years. Not to eat but many still do and they are all over the world. Somtimes somthing happens to a horse and makes them unfit to ride or do anything. Blown hock. breaks and cracks. Some young. Breaks your heart when it happens. Un fit or rideable. they become as we all say lawn ornaments. they coast about 1500 dollars a year to keep them properly. Many call the vet and have them put down and dig a hole and shove them into it and bury them. I quit doing that. I will in a very humane fashion put them down and process them now for my own consumption. I feel it is an insult and a huge and gross waste to put a healthy animal with a problem in a hole just because its a pet. Its an insult to the animal also. What a waste. I hate the processing plants and would never SHIP one of my own horses. They stay on the farm where they were born. The plants are very inhumaine and so is the shipping methods getting them there. That being said. Horses are beautifula nd smart and deserve respect as well as all animals on this planet. We as a race need to stop all the waste and all the cruelty towards these beasts of burden that have sustained or races for and sinse the beginning of time. |

Don't eat anything processed outside of your own country. Better yet. Put in a garden in your own back yards. a 4x4 garden built in a box is your best defence from starvation. Did you see all the people starting to starve in the UK and Britian because inflation has driven the costs up so much they have to decide or rather choose to have a roof over their heads or eat. Most are one paycheck away from this senario. Wake the fuck up. Seeds cost nothing hardly. Start growing your futures. Do nothing and starve. Thats going to be the new reality for everyone on this planet coming THIS YEAR! |
