WELL FUCK ME!
AND ONE HERE:

[link to maps.google.com]

so this shootout should have been well caught on cam

and if you look up and down the street, theres cameras both ways
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33968321

/\ This last one should have clearly caught both Dorner and the police car in the shootout.

Re: California Manhunt
In this day & age of cameras at every corner it is amazing that they haven't released more surveillance footage of him and the truck when he was driving all over the place Sunday through Thursday. From what I can tell there's only been two.

From the time they found the young couple in Irving it would seem they would have someone live-viewing the cameras on the hwys/freeways.

Maybe they have footage of him in all the places he was supposedly in & aren't releasing it right now. And if they don't have much footage of him moving around then there's a big problem with this story.

They are not going to catch him.

They are going to announce him dead.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28689320

He's probably been dead for days and they've got him chilling on ice until the public grows bored with the titillating manhunt stories on the "news". Then they will claim he was found frozen in the woods somewhere.

Re: California Manhunt
...

Wrong. HE is responsible for what he did. Many people are pushed to the brink, for many different reasons. When no justice is left what is one to do?! Really?? One is to deal with it. Not go on a sociopathic rage filled murdering spree.
 Quoting: Little Willow

When is enough enough? When is there a breaking point?

Cops get to go around shooting and beating whoever and whatever they want for little to no reason at all with little to no repercussions.

They took a good man and made him a monster.

Keep in mind he is a soldier he was trained to kill. He was sanctioned to murder for the government and has likely already done so in patriotic service and is familiar with death. That being the case death no longer has the same weight it does for you or I.

You act like these cops are good people. They are not and are responsible for the death and suffering of many unjustly.

He discovered a big serious corruption problems first hand in the police department and it disillusioned him and ruined his life. You think it is all about himself and revenge? If so you are wrong. This is about bullshit that has been allowed to perpetuate and grow within our so called "peace keepers" service. There are very few good cops now and they keep their mouths shut and cover for the bad ones or they would lose their jobs and be a "no" cop just like this fellow.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8443185

Sad.

No,this isn't how normal people with a conscience handle things.
 Quoting: Little Willow

You still don't get it.

How do cops without a conscious handle things?

How far would you let them push you... how far would you let them push innocent people and when they are the law what are you going to do about it? there is no legal recourse. You are one of those people that just stand by and do nothing because doing something violate your so called conscious?

This is life and death. Dorner is defending his country.

You think I am condoning murder? at what point do you care enough about your country and your people that you are willing to die and kill for it? That is what is in this guy.... honor(soldier's honor) Very rare things these days and even rarer still to find it in someone capable of making a difference. Dorner is making a difference. The bigger mess this all becomes the more likely it will lead to policy changes and differences in how the police do their job. Perhaps more legal recourse against police brutality.

...and you are right he is not "normal". He is better then normal. Normal is to be a common sheeple. With a single layer "rule book" of morals you use and no sight of the bigger picture.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8443185

Youre the one who clearly doesnt 'get it.'

If your brother/sister/family member fired someone at their job, it is then justifiable for that fired person to kill you and any of your family members.

Thats exactly what youre being agreeable with.

Dorner killed Ms Quan because he felt her father didnt defend him well enough as legal counsel.

Thats fucked up, and so are you if you think thats justifiable in any way!

If they drone strike this guy is there going to be enough DNA to ID him? Or do they just use tiny little missles and only blow off his legs? Or does it matter if they get the right guy anyway?

Maybe a drone stike would serve the same purpose of a Bin Laden Burial at Sea though. And if cops start getting wacked again because they got the wrong guy, they can declare "unofficial martial law" again. This whole thing is a giant clusterfuck to me.

I also believe he has help, it is just a gut feeling but you know how those gut feelings can be right sometimes. It makes no sense to me why he would head up to the mountains in the middle of a snowstorm, that would be suicide as there is no place to hide. Every cabin within 50 miles could be searched or scanned with FLIR in a matter of hours. And why did he leave weapons behind in the truck? I think he had someone follow or meet him up there, torched the truck and left in another car.

This nation is in a dangerous state when murder of innocemts is so readily accepted by so many, and people look to loner madmen murderers as heroes.

Al its gonna take is for the right person/next hitler to 'stand up' to lead this into another Nazi Germany with death camps.
