Re: California Manhunt
As bullets tore through the cabin, the two women "covered their faces and huddled down," Jonas said. "They felt like it was going on forever."

Hernandez was shot twice in her back and is expected to recover. Her daughter escaped with only minor wounds from broken glass.

Though Beck said he does not doubt the women did not hear any verbal commands, he emphasized that it was still possible the officers did attempt to stop the vehicle before opening fire. And, while not commenting specifically on this shooting, Beck said it was not difficult to imagine how officers who were already on edge could make the mistake these officers did.

"As an officer, you look for cues. You know how someone drives normally and then you see someone coming at you slowly, driving in the middle of the street, stopping and starting. That can be misinterpreted," he said.

Beck said he had not yet received a detailed briefing, which typically occurs a few days after officer-involved shootings to give investigators time to collect evidence and put together the basic summary of what happened. But he did say that the gunfire occurred in two bursts: The first came from an officer positioned down the block from the LAPD official's residence, and the second when Carranza accelerated away from the gunfire and toward other officers.

After the investigation is completed, Beck and an oversight board will decide if officers were justified in the shooting or made mistakes that warrant either punishment or training.

Jonas estimated that the officers fired between 20 and 30 rounds. Photographs of the back of the truck showed at least two dozen bullet holes. Neighbors, however, suggested there were more shots fired.

UNBELIEVABLE!!! Giving the officers the benefit of 'possibility' that he was JUSTIFIED???? OMG! They won't even give Dorner the benefit of 'possibility' that it might not even be HIM! There is NO justification for those officers to open fire on these women - NONE!

Looks like 22 and 40 Caliber Rounds were used. Good thing those ladies were short.

The manifesto makes sense while he is focused on the lapd, it gets weird after that. But if he's real I think I'd leave the force and move somewhere else. Think about what he knows about lapd tactics and procedures. Then add to that that he has the same uniform and weapons that they have. Add to that he has better weapons stowed nearby. If I were an lapd officer I wouldn't be shooting at the papergirl driving the pickup, I'd be looking at every male black lapd officer as my assailant. He's probably setup at a roadblock right now drinking coffee with the next cop he's gonna kill. Scary camouflage when they look exactly like you.

Seven Officers with 15+ rounds of 40 S&W ~ 75+ Rounds and Appears to be 22 Cal from most likely an AR 15. So add another 30 rounds.

My guess is there was over 100 rounds fired!

Maybe that is why they are doing this manhunt in the first place? To practice, to prepare but also to show what will happen to anyone that opposes authority - corrupt or not, the law only applies to those deemed law breakers, where as the authorities can break the law and it's in route to apprehension so this is justified.

In other Wag the Dog situations. We have our Theories, but no flat out Proof.

This is a situation where the authorities are telling us Chris Dorner did this, but the have shown us no proof. Just an internet post. However, they have shown us the proof that they have a KILL Order in place. This is a blatent use of UNJUSTIFIABLE FORCE!!! No Identifictation of the Suspect. No attempt to apprehend the suspect alive. Ten minutes after shooting up the Blue Toyota Tacoma, they ram a Black Honda Ridgeline and fill it full of holes, same MO.

These people are dealing with a mentally unstable man. They want a solution to the problem - a mentally unstable man, who has threatened to harm the families of police officers and has acted on his threat. The officers involved in this case are not worried about what you think. I know that is hard for you to understand- Sarcasm intended. You don't need to understand the whole case and their choices and yes those, choices will be defended in court, if it even gets that far.

If Chris Dorner is really out there. I highly doubt he is mentally unstable. What the LAPD doesn't understand is that so many people have been the victoms of the corruption, that these victoms are likely to join in the Battle. LAPD have started a war that they may not be able to win.

They got really military. Nobody broke silence. I'm sure lots of cops are GLPers. They must have been told on SH and this thing that they would get 70 years if they said they were drills. I'm pretty sure the two kids were killed by this guy. At least he would be the prime suspect. The other stuff they reported, I'm not too sure about. The manifesto, if phony shows they still hate gays and they don't like Obama. Because you just reverse it. It's like a joke. CNN is good. No it's not. See? Even the guy's name. Dorner. Drone. Making fun. Stupid. Innocent women got hurt. I just don't buy it. If any of this is fake, it's a big mistake because lots of Poor Blacks and Mexicans don't trust the police anyway. It goes into class warfare. We have only one enemy. It's called Islam. Put those drones into better use along the Canadian and Mexican Borders. Tons of Muslims in those countries. The ones that are United States Citizens, I'm not worried about.

My point exactly - police are trained to always be aware of what they are shooting at - to avoid injuring innocent people and to avoid litigation against the PD...... It is obviously such a bad situation that the PD now doesn't care what they are shooting at and the fact that this shift happened so quickly just screams of the corruption. Yes I read the manifesto - both versions - but I have yet to see anyone verify the source of either version. Think about it - if someone wanted to get him out of the picture - or if they needed a patsy for some larger agenda - whats the easiest way to do that these days? Whats the easiest way to get the entire nation helping them find this guy?
