Re: California Manhunt
Bunny Girl .... " Since when are police not concerned at what they are shooting at ?"

WHEN THEY are part of the corrupt, corporate city/state/federal governments, who suddenly have a wronged man', who feels he has lost EVERYTHING, including his NAME ( or didn't you read his manifesto ?) and has nothing to lose, including his life to right the wrong, are are now being hunted like the animals they are !

ALL cops FEAR anyone as well armed as they are, OR, armed at all ! Most are gutless cowards, and are often are afraid to strike/kick the individual they are accosting UNTIL he/she is handcuffed and helpless, as MANY videos show !

Their greatest enjoyment is two or more attacking drunken women who DARE
to not immediately obey their orders, etc.
 Quoting: Anybody witness. 7633733

My point exactly - police are trained to always be aware of what they are shooting at - to avoid injuring innocent people and to avoid litigation against the PD...... It is obviously such a bad situation that the PD now doesn't care what they are shooting at and the fact that this shift happened so quickly just screams of the corruption. Yes I read the manifesto - both versions - but I have yet to see anyone verify the source of either version. Think about it - if someone wanted to get him out of the picture - or if they needed a patsy for some larger agenda - whats the easiest way to do that these days? Whats the easiest way to get the entire nation helping them find this guy?

Personally I find it SERIOUSLY hard to believe that a man wants to clear his name from being a 'liar' by being a 'murderer'. Makes no sense whatsoever.
 Quoting: BunnyGirl

Dorner seems fictional and probably is. Who/where are his girlfriends and family? That said, if you're in California, and you've made some enemies, keep an eye out (e.g., Rick Perry). It seems this story may yet include some additional sniping.

These people are dealing with a mentally unstable man. They want a solution to the problem - a mentally unstable man, who has threatened to harm the families of police officers and has acted on his threat. The officers involved in this case are not worried about what you think. I know that is hard for you to understand- Sarcasm intended. You don't need to understand the whole case and their choices and yes those, choices will be defended in court, if it even gets that far.

That's where this story is interesting. We have a man who claims he was a victim (Chris Donner). We don't know if he was/is a victim or not, maybe he just perceived himself to be a victim? Re: California Manhunt
As bullets tore through the cabin, the two women "covered their faces and huddled down," Jonas said. "They felt like it was going on forever."

Hernandez was shot twice in her back and is expected to recover. Her daughter escaped with only minor wounds from broken glass.

Though Beck said he does not doubt the women did not hear any verbal commands, he emphasized that it was still possible the officers did attempt to stop the vehicle before opening fire. And, while not commenting specifically on this shooting, Beck said it was not difficult to imagine how officers who were already on edge could make the mistake these officers did.

"As an officer, you look for cues. You know how someone drives normally and then you see someone coming at you slowly, driving in the middle of the street, stopping and starting. That can be misinterpreted," he said.

Beck said he had not yet received a detailed briefing, which typically occurs a few days after officer-involved shootings to give investigators time to collect evidence and put together the basic summary of what happened. But he did say that the gunfire occurred in two bursts: The first came from an officer positioned down the block from the LAPD official's residence, and the second when Carranza accelerated away from the gunfire and toward other officers.

After the investigation is completed, Beck and an oversight board will decide if officers were justified in the shooting or made mistakes that warrant either punishment or training.

Jonas estimated that the officers fired between 20 and 30 rounds. Photographs of the back of the truck showed at least two dozen bullet holes. Neighbors, however, suggested there were more shots fired.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28689320

Officers fired possibly more than 20-30 rounds at an unarmed, sitting duck target only wounding one completely unprepared person??? And the man they are looking for is highly trained?? I bet they're literally quaking in their boots...

When times are good they're good. When times suck, they suck. Like when the Real Estate bubble burst in 2008. What else could go wrong? Martial Law? Watch those movies of the Jews in 1939 Poland. Everybody is smiling and happy. Five years later? You know. That's the way it goes. Every day you wake up, you say, "Should I stay in bed or should I get up? Should I go out or stay home?" It's always a pull on the lever of the slotmachine of life. How many quarters did you put in today?

His history doesn't appear to be from a mentally unstable man. After all, he was Naval Reserve unit commander at Fallon Naval Air Station and has received awards from both Navy and LAPD.

If they are looking for a solution, they will find it in that manifesto that you are buying into - " I’ll be waiting for a PUBLIC response at a press conference. When the truth comes out, the killing stops"

This isn't about what I think or even what the officer's think. This man, regardless of what he has done, deserves a trial and is not found guilty until proven beyond a doubt. THATs what matters and that is what is very obviously NOT being done in this case. They will kill him to prevent a fair trial.

Please go to youtube and search police brutality in Los Angeles. This is ALARMING. 9 police officers brutally beat Kelly Thomas, an unarmed mentally ill homeless man, to death as he literally cried for his daddy (who was a retired LAPD officer) in Fullerton, CA which is about 26 miles from LA. Cops beating unarmed mentally ill people is unacceptable and is a serious issue that is not being given the attention it deserves.

I guess these guys need some basic NRA or hunter safety training.

KNOW your target. Unless you can clearly identify your target, or KNOW you are taking fire, you don't open up just because you are surrounded by cops shooting for the hell of it.

This is NOT a warzone. Shows how fearful the police really are.

yep it should be very clear that the Police Mafia are the criminals, crooks, and unstable psychopaths who are putting our society in danger.

this presents the problem of: who is going to arrest them? the only other people who carry handcuffs are police officers.

is Nevada state police going to have to go into CA and arrest LAPD officers? this whole situation is just beyond pathetic and I sincerely hope some police either run away or off themselves out of fear/desperation

They got really military. Nobody broke silence. I'm sure lots of cops are GLPers. They must have been told on SH and this thing that they would get 70 years if they said they were drills. I'm pretty sure the two kids were killed by this guy. At least he would be the prime suspect. The other stuff they reported, I'm not too sure about. The manifesto, if phony shows they still hate gays and they don't like Obama. Because you just reverse it. It's like a joke. CNN is good. No it's not. See? Even the guy's name. Dorner. Drone. Making fun. Stupid. Innocent women got hurt. I just don't buy it. If any of this is fake, it's a big mistake because lots of Poor Blacks and Mexicans don't trust the police anyway. It goes into class warfare. We have only one enemy. It's called Islam. Put those drones into better use along the Canadian and Mexican Borders. Tons of Muslims in those countries. The ones that are United States Citizens, I'm not worried about.

That's a very good point. You see that police officer in this story likely is/was mentally unstable. Some sort of power complex going on, that prevented him from making just, fair and rationale decisions on the job. This former police officer that is being hunted down is likely mentally unstable and the police department that he worked for fired him for it. So he wants "revenge". I hope some people here are getting it. The very thing that you are all upset about...the wrong people wearing a uniform is what is the issue here. For some reason some of you just don't see that this Donner guy is not the kind of guy we want wearing a police uniform. The LAPD are not always the "bad guys".

Was it Chris that shot the cops that night?

What we do know is that LAPD opened Fire on two different trucks that morning without positive identification of the occupants. This is a fact that we have all types of Media, photographic evidence and LAPD acknowledgement.
