Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1276709 Guess you guys are under martial law now? its not a right, its a privelage if it's a privilege, you are not in the land of the free... go to registry of motor vehicles here, i can assure you driving is a privelage not a right, according to them |
Ollo User ID: 137024 United States 02/08/2013 02:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I don't think this is that big of a deal...if YOU want to get out in it, go for it, but I think it's logical that they don't want to endanger the lives of the rescuers that have to go out and save dumbasses that are driving in a blizzard for no reason. There will be people that actually NEED saving and they need to be available for that. Edit to add...jail time, etc is extreme, tho. Last Edited by Ollo on 02/08/2013 02:23 PM |

Driving is a privilege, travel is a right. It's all in the LEGAL wording. |

This is a fucking blizzard, you want to risk your life and those around you then you can risk a fine or jail time. The choice is yours. Although the jail time is a bit extreme, they are trying to get the point across. That they have better things to do in a blizzard then to rescue stranded drivers. Like keeping the power up, clearing fallen trees and what ever else they might need 100% resources for. |

"I feel the state should have just told everyone "travel at your own risk. If you get stuck or you're in a wreck, you're fucked. We will not put other peoples lives and safety at risk to help your stupid ass, you are on your own." Plain and simple, anyone who is driving out in this weather in a vehicle not equipped to handle it is a fucking retard and deserves what happens to them." |
