dont let it pile up
especially at the road when the snowplows make a big heavy pile of frozen chunks that condense and freeze solid

best is to get ahead of it and keep removing the accumulation whenever you have the chance
it's alot easier to scrape off a couple inches than a foot on top of heavy packed down ice

just take off the powder then throw down some icemelt where its frozen and compressed, later on it will be half melted and you can plow it off easier
