If people really want to drive in this weather, let them. If they spin out, wreck or get stuck however, other people should not have to risk their lives and safety to help them because they decided to "brave the weather". Travel at your own risk.

Right? Cause in 2003 my city in Mass got 38 inches. And they didn't ban travel. Then in 2005 I think we got 30 inches again. Most people don't go out anyways.

Not sure what part of Mass you're in but its coming down 2-4 inches and hour since 4-5pm, windy as hell, low visability and its starting to becoming too much to keep up with, shoveling that is.

I'm glad they banned driving because there are so many morons that go out during blizzards and hurricanes here, just cause I guess they have nothing better to do. I suppose they think they are storm chasers. They end up getting themselves in a jam and then expect prompt rescue.

I live here. For only 1 1/2 mind you. It's literally the worst state ever. People are stupid, egotistical and proud to be "massholes" ...they're too stupid to figure out its actually an insult.

That being said. I have no desire to drive in this shit. It's snowing really bad and it is extremly unsafe. I don't agree that it should be illegal and that people should just use common sense.. Sadly nobody in this hell hole has common sense and that's why it has been ordered. The governor knows how fucking dumb every single person who grew up here is and needs to help the workers do their jobs.

Now, I agree it seems like it is a dry run. Why was the governor on TV with an Air Force general or commander standing next to him? Is because the Air Force is causing this weather? Fuck this place I can't wait to get a new job and move the hell out of here.

Work. I work in and industry that thinks Boston is amazing. 1 more year and my resume will be perfect and I will move to a better place. Any place. Well any major market. In my field this is market 10 and because I am here my career has already jumped up a few notches.
