I agree. The main variable of consideration is whether or not the state should threaten to incarcerate people for 1 year and fine them? Wouldn't a declaration of state of emergency & a plead to stay off the road been enough? Just provoking discussion, no hard feelings.I live in MA, lived thru the storm in 1978, remember route 128 was a parking lot of abandoned cars?...cars off the road just makes it easier for the plows to Get rid of the snow on the streets, relax, remain calm, nothing to worry about not being on the roads for a few hours.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9369361 Quoting: ParadiseStorm the blizzard of 78 was not forecasted and everybody was unprepared for it. it came out of nowhere. todays situation is not comparable as other people have been doing. there are blizzards here all the time, the roads dont close down. everyone is prepared for it and stays off the roads unless they have to, no need to jail or even fine people, thats just fucked up. but the whole blizzard of 78 comparison is null and void that situation was due to total lack of preperation Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1454911 like, the blizzard of 78 was not forecasted. there were no plows or personel on call. the snow accumulated very fast. that whole thing is TOTALLY null and void why all these fucking shills/sheeple/whatever assholes are saying that is just beyond me its totally bogus and makes no sense what happened then is not what is happening or in danger of happening now
