i bet people were saying 'mmmm, this is the tastiest ready meal i have ever tasted!' before this shit broke.
i wouldn't have a problem with eating it tbh.

You PAY for a BEEF product, that's what you should receive. Horse meat probably falls outside of UK food regulations. The horse meat is most likely from older, possibly sick animals.
