Never claim absolute knowledge that you can't support 100%
I was reading on an unrelated forum and it got me to thinking... If you're talking to someone or posting on a "normal" forum you shouldn't say things like, 'Sandy Hook was a staged event concocted by the government to promote gun control.' This gives the shills and idiots a chance to call you crazy and disregard everything that you say.

What if you say it more carefully like... 'There are very strange anomalies surrounding the Sandy Hook event. I don't buy the stories being told to us by the major news networks.' Then maybe give supporting evidence to back your claim that it was strange and reassert your position of skepticism to the official story. All the while you never make any conclusive claims that can't be supported 100%

This tactic is harder argued with because it doesn't give the shills/idiots a chance to use ad hominems and call you crazy. You still get your message out there and even unintelligent people will come to the conclusion that you want them to if you provide them with enough doubt. The same concept would apply to other conspiracy theories like 9/11.

Most likely the shills will always try to put words in your mouth. They'll say things like... "so you think the government massacred those children???" Don't fall for their trap! They'll just follow up with personal attacks, labeling, and ridicule and try to get others to disregard your previous statements.

who would have thought speaking intelligently while giving logical reasons for a point of view would give someones argument more credibility.

That's what we all try to do. Unfortunately, some people make the mistake of stating their conclusions as absolute fact. On more mainstream forums this only becomes ammo for the shills.
