AC would you mind trying to explain what you just said differently and using just one Jesus in your scenario ? I'm not gonna try and debate you or make a point , I think I have similar thoughts but I don't quit understand exactly what your saying , I think I have an idea though
Quoting: YOUCITY 18850702 Let me reword this.
If a person claims, he's Jesus.
Should we not 'test the spirit', to identify the'false prophets', as the Bible instructed.
Especially considering there are many people who claim to be Jesus.
If we shouldn't 'test the spirit', and since this would be as OP stated, 'tempting the Lord'.
Does this mean, then, we should blindly believe the people, are all Jesus.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35063876 Thanks AC, thats what i thought , If I don't feel 100 percent certain in my heart and soul then I think the answer is yes , considering how good the demons are at masquerading themselves and they are also very intelligent , it almost dosnt seem fair , I mean how am I supposed to trust someone I don't know ? Seems like it could make me voulnarable to being attacked ? But I would never want to live in a world that didn't have trust. I might be learning as I'm going along here as we speak, so hopefully someone can help me out here , so if I accept Jesus as my lord and savior , which I have done many times , than I am to believe that there wont even be a question in my mind , if a demon or Satan pretended to be Jesus infront of me ? I would just know ? WINGDLION feel free to comment on my last questions or thoughts.
Quoting: YOUCITY 18850702 This is why I stress the multiple people who currently claim to be Jesus.
Let's say, 5 people all claim to be Jesus.
We already know that there's only 1 Jesus.
Meaning 4 of the 5, or all 5 people are lying.
Therefore we need to 'test the spirits' to discern the 'false prophets' as instructed by the Bible.
Now, OP thinks, if we 'test the spirit' this is 'tempting the Lord'.
So according to OP, we would as he stated have 'faith', and assume all 5 people are Jesus, which is obviously false.
I'm essentially bringing up points, that OP, will ignore.
Instead of acting mature, when he comes across a point, that prove him wrong. He acts like a little child, gets his feelings hurt, and then starts making threat.
He acts "mature", if people agree with him. But if you point out something, that he can not answer, he acts like a typical little immature child.
You know what's going to happen to the false prophets, and those who they mislead (the warning is in the Bible).
This is why I'm highly cautious, with people, who claim to hear from God.
