I had a relationship like that. It's better for me that it ended, and she was the one who drifted away first.

She was engaged twice before to other people and broke it off, so I was kind of avoiding engagement until at least after our 2-year anniversary (in March). We talked about it though and had long term plans.

She was a distant person though, a lot of it had to do with her personality. We didn't connect emotionally the way I have in the past with other women, but it was honestly stable until the last couple months.

What bugs me the most is that I met a girl through work a year ago that was the PERFECT woman. We connected awesomely while on a work trip together for 2-weeks. There was a definite invitation, but I avoided temptation however because I'm not a douche like that.
