The bible isn't really Jesus's teachings, although they are still in there in some of the parables. Remember, a political group created this version of Christianity in the 4th century so that they could control it and the growing number of followers of jesus.

but in regard to Luke 12:47, read the whole chapter and you'll discover He is not talking about beating slaves. Taking it out of context like you did does not make it so.

That means, the weapons are unrighteousness, which is to be more greatly feared than lashes.

So his song is about, "if you bring this weapon, I'll bring more", shows how incapable he is to stop the blows, but only to add more to himself. Notice the upside down crosses on the jacket. Who do you think he is really talking about?

For fuck sakes, people, Jesus does NOT advocate slavery or the beating of anyone.

Sure, it is a parable. But any Christian leader who tells this parable and says, "You know, if the slave doesn't do what the master wants, the slave is beaten, you know?" That Christian leader would be run out. And Jesus said just that. He was living in a world of slavery yet did not speak out against it. He didn't because he was not a morally superior God as many of you claim. A morally superior God would condemn slavery. He must be accountable to our modern moral standards or he defacto becomes a God/Man who approves of slavery.

Jesus, by telling this parable about slaves and masters and not condemning the entire system of slavery, is guilty of promoting it.
