Saw My Ex In The Grocery Store...
I ran into my ex from highschool in the detergent aisle at Wal-Mart a few days ago. We were that couple that everyone thought was perfect for each other.

Things ended with a bang. He was a year ahead of me, and we both got scared when he got accepted into a college far away. We didn't want things to end, and in our fear and frustration of what would happen, we broke up. I think we knew the end was inevitable, so we wanted to it ourselves, and not suffer through a long distance misery. So, we subconciously created arguments until it ended.

We both got rebounds. I'm not sure why, but he picked a real winner....my opposite....runaway girl living in a group home. She was jealous of me even being within a mile of him. She was rude to me, and eventually, I started getting angry and yelling at her. The school was rennovating, so she took a brick and threw it at my head. Needless to say, this ended in me bleeding profusely, and her going to the police staiton. I was sure he'd break up with her for this behavior, but he didn't. He simply told her "You shouldn't have done that". I blew up, and this caused a huge argument.

So, back to the current. Running into him at the store was more than awkward. We're both married now. We both tried to make conversation...you know fake laughing/smiling. He did, however, go home and send me a friend request on Facebook. I accepted, with my husband's permission of course.

I almost brought up the past at the store that day. We never resolved it, and things ended so horribly. I thought about sending him a private message on Facebook. In the store, he looked like he wanted to talk about it, but dind't know how. It would just be nice to get some resolve.

What do you guys think?

Let it go. I know that's easier said then done, but you have both moved on. No point in bringing up something that happened in the past. You are married now (him as well), so focus on what you have not what you once had.

I don't. I just thought he might say ummm..."I'm sorry Jennifer hit you on the head with a brick, and tried to kill you" ? Would have been nice....

It's not like that. I'm not talking about resolving our relationship. I mean I feel like he owes me an apology for not standing up for me when all that happened.

I guess if you date a guy all through highschool, you expect him to care more when his girlfriend attempts to kill you.

Leave it in the past.

If you wanted an apology then you waited far too long. You should have confronted him a long time ago.

Some people are heartless just leave him be. I bet he's killing himself on the inside thinking of all your memory's.

Contact him and let your loins do their work. Only then will you see you made the right choice. Otherwise you will always wonder. Besides, I can't count on one hand HS relationships that actually worked out unless a kid was involved early on. Like 11th grade.

Dance the dance and freee your mind. Good idea would be to invite your other partner to particiate as well.

Why would you even have a conversation with a guy like this? What I find stunning is the fact you accepted his friend request!

What is the matter with you? Wasn't one brick to the head enough to knock some sense into you?

Hold yourself in high regard woman!

Unfriend him

Block him

forget about that mother fucker.

He is an ex for a reason... no needing to bring the past into the present!

you are married...

You owe your ex nothing... and your ex owes you nothing.

Embrace your husband... forget your ex...

even if your husband is acting like king fucking cool over this situation... inside its fucking killing him...

trust me...

if you continue on with your ex,
you are only going to fuck up things with your husband.

Facebook is nothing but a cess pool for destroying relationships...

I've been done pretty bad by several of my exes... i even had a base ball bat taken to me from one crazy bitch...

i didnt do a fucking thing to her... she just got into one of her crazy moods and started swinging...

she contacted me after i was married and apologized and wanted to be my friend...

i told her i didnt give a fuck what she thought... the instant she swung that bat... i stopped caring.

OP move on...

If you were my wife I'd say sure you can facialbook the guy. Then I'd get two 18 year olds and a bag of XTC. Sounds like you're still in highschool. I would teach you an adult lesson.

I didn't realize asking for an apology on Facebook was the same as cheating with 2 18 year olds. And it's agravating when you mention that, demeaning older women. I'm 26, and pretteir than I was at 18. I've become more confident, which is more attractive. It's because of men who talk like you that women felt self concious about getting older.

I dont approve of cheating in any measure...

So i cant condone that posters behavior and mindset...

but I can attest that its very likely to happen to you if you continue down this path...

You jut said you was more attractive now than then...

You have more confidence now than you did then...

What will you do when your ex starts flirting with you?

Will you outright just let him know you are married and will not tolerate that sorta behavior and block him?

or will you smile and keep talking? because you are flattered?

or will you flirt back and set forth events that will lead to the destruction of your marriage?

i dont know you... i am not judging you.

but what i am knowledgeable about is the fact...

read this from another thread on here...

Social Media sites such as facebook, getglue, what the fuck ever is the greatest force in the degeneration of relationships.

People are constantly contacting, commenting statuses, photos, private messages... trading tales, complimenting each other... and trying to come up with the most clever thing on the newsfeed...

From wake up to bed time... people are having unprecedented interactions with a multitude of people... 50 years ago access to such was simply non existent.

this innovation in communication leads to flirting and the disdain of your spouse or boy/girlfriend.

That leads to the destruction of relationships.

People always seem way more interesting online than they do in person... that is a dangerous illusion to the simple minded...

You should have taken off your shoe.

And whacked him over the head with it.

Or...

Ripped your shirt, and started screaming HELP...RAPE...HELP he's trying to rape me.

I think both scenarios would go hand in hand. You could get a couple of good whacks to the head, AND get him arrested for attempted rape?
