The snow is more than half way up my front and rear doors.....5 foot drifts

My wife is asleep.....she will freak when she sees we are snowed into the house,,,,,,shoveling will take days

I find this odd. While this is the most snow of the season, we've had blizzards like this before in the Northeast in recent history.

A lot of hype for this one.

48 hour snowfall forecasts from the same GFS model run show as much as 18 inches of snow hitting central New York as a result of this event.

Beautiful looking storm. Look at that area of low pressure mixing in with the cold air mass to the North.

My cats were waiting at the door....all ready to go out....opened the door....they were not happy.....snow 3 times highe than they are.

Mom raised me to be ugly ...not stupid....I have had my generator for over 20 years and hardly use it but when i do I share with my neighbor....so far were looking good for power

be careful shovelling that lot in the cold.

that's when heart attacks happen, even to healthy people. take your time. don't go too crazy with the shovel.

NJ Shore about 4 to 6 inches. The wind was really whipping up last night, and it's pretty cold, but we didn't get much snow.

I'll have to shovel a little path for my dog. He hates walking in snow. He's quite the wuss.

Now is the part that sucks.....snow is high enough it takes 6-8 shoves for every foot!!!!! Damn....the neighbor kids are going to make a killing this snow fall

LOL...at one point the cat snuck out and got behind me....got about 3 yards and looked about and got back to the house faster than when it rains....so funny

About the hype and overreaction, at least here (Idaho) the local authorities have been closing the interstate as most big storm hit. That's cause the county has been sued by idiots who get into accidents driving down what their lawyers are insisting were unsafe highways that should have been closed.

For the past few years, it's a total drag for those of us with 4 wheel drive cause they "close" the roads, and issue citations for those who use the roads even though we could do so safely.

Lawyers are making life unlivable. Sooner or later this is going to unravel.
