Since that seems to be the new topics around here... well ask away. M16A4 all day long. 550 meters on a point target. Point target meaning an inch give or take. Different M4s have different barrel lengths, but they are all less than an M16 by at least 6 inches, which is going to take away from its range, obviously. The retractable stock of an M4 takes away from the consistent eye relief that a full stock M16 offers. Next? |

I'll start though.. I'm 26, spent 6 years in the Marine reserves, am currently in a national championship boasting school, and have bled for our country, that is the USA. I am a wealth of military knowledge, and have no censorship in my words. Lets talk. |

Can an M203 kill a tank (Abrams for arguments sake) with enough well placed shots? Did the Iraqis put up a good fight or where they as crappy as depicted on tv? What do you think of Canadian forces? |

Since that seems to be the new topics around here... well ask away. My Canadian friend, I thank you for sticking around for conversation. You obviously aren't afraid of the real questions folks probably want to ask. 1. Yes, I believe so. Our FOB was the "train station" which you can find on google maps, just a couple hundred meters north of fallujah, it housed our company. Far as I'll go there. We occupied plenty of OPs (observation posts) 24/7, and they were there to kill fuckers trying to plan IEDs. We were good at getting those guys trying to be sneaky at night. NVGs, Raptor scopes, PEC-2s, infared, its all a bitch for idiots thinking they have the night for cover. Had some firefights as well, pretty certain there. 2. No, an M203 grenade launcher won't hurt an Abrams or however you spell it, M1. The only time I saw an Abrams get torn up was when it hit a triple stacked anti tank mine and burned for 12 hours, igniting all the ammo inside. (Imagine hundreds of pounds of artillery shells). A 40mm HEDP won't do shit. 3. The Iraqis, I wouldn't know seeing how I was not in the initial push. I was there late 06-07. We fought AQI, and former baath party guards, Saddams elite. Those guys knew what they were doing, war fighting wise. 4. Honestly I wouldn't know, but the Canadians have a strong history of fighting wars along our side, so I give them an A+ until proven otherwise. |

As a marine were you able too call in artillery or air support whenever you needed it? Or are there certain conditions regarding the use of heavy ordinance? Have any good times while over there or was everyone wound up tight? |

Since that seems to be the new topics around here... well ask away. I actually just burned off my last bit of herb! I didn't start smoking until my last year, when I was a squad leader in a hack unit (the CO liked to suck me and my squad off in the field during any live fire EX, we were tits) and the command was horrible, so I could get away with it. I was the only infantry NCO in a former artillery bunch that were transformed into some anti-terrorism hack nonsense, so I was the cream and I arose. Since then, I am a student, and still smoke and enjoy the hell out of it, it does wonders for PTSD, depression, anxiety, insomnia etc. I knew how to, but never had CAS or arty called in. In the city of Fallujah (our AO) you couldn't use anything but what you humped.. Fucking bullshit. We had a couple platoon of tanks during one fight but they were restricted to MGs (coax and m2) and couldn't use the main gun in the city, same thing with hellfire's from CAS. Total bullshit man. Naw, nobody I knew smoked bud there, we weren't up tight, or tight, just some lean, tough assholes looking to settle a score. Thats what it became the minute our first Marine was killed... |

Also, how many American troops died in Iraq? Is it more than the official figures? |

If they are, sack up and do your duty to post valuable intel regarding potential gun grabbing plans. Here is my take on the military and what might happen to the American people. First off, half or more will desert and go home to fight those who don't desert. It will start in a big city, and the fight won't spread too far from it. The government could try to take our guns but we out gun them to the extreme..... Ask Japan why they wouldn't fuck with our mainland in WWII. Nothing has changed there as far as our civilian populace is concerned. |

Here are my figures for my small minute experience in this broad war: 2nd plt, Bravo CO, 1st BAT, 24th MARINES. My platoon, more specifically my squad, 5 KIA. Squad leader, team leader, rifleman, A gunner, and SAW gunner. I wouldn't be surprised if they pad the stats. |

Look those up, its the written tests you need for scores towards promotion. I always felt that my performance in the field and in garrison would be sufficient for my billet, but that was the old Marine Corps. Basically I was stubborn. Proficient in my craft, stubborn to change. |

My thoughts on the military are we still need too show the world the homeland is not to be fucked with. NWO Illuminati agenda or not, we need soldiers too kick some ass and let the Chinese and Russians we won't take their shit. Thanks for your service. Freedom though flawed is still the only way too go. As for epic tunes I'm listening too anthrax - a.i.r That song takes you places |

How would you feel if TPTB decided the USA should be invaded (probable in the near future), and all your freedoms should be taken away? Honest questions. I always wanted to sign up but could not lose my mind to their way of thinking. |

Point target at 350 meters if you are lucky, and that is with a real Russian AK, not some Romanian or Chinese knock off... Still, I'm putting my little 5.56 in-between your eyes two football fields farther away... We win. As far as what the US is doing? Fuck man, it aint good thats for sure! I don't condemn any of it! TPTB invading the US? Come on, thats all I have to say. Once again, refer to Japan, circa 1945. If you had an M16 fall apart in your hands you are speaking out of your ass... My sloppy ass M16A2 from vietnam that was issued to me in '04 recruit training shot straight enough for expert qual (220+) so don't give me this "gun falls apart" shit...Sure the FN/FAL would have been a better rifle, but the M16 seems to be doing just fine last I checked. |
