But on a more serious note, in the Torah (first five books of the Old Testament)

God gave detailed descriptions of kosher and non-kosher animals and fish.

The kosher animals have cloven hooves and chew their cud.

Kosher fish have fins and scales.

This eliminates pork, shellfish, catfish, etc but DOES

allow many other delicious meats to be eaten.



And as Jesus pointed out, it is not that which goes into your mouth that causes trouble,

but that which comes out.
