Im sorry. All life forms consume life. From cells to insects to anything that God created. There are certain meats to eat and not to eat. Please continue to eat vegetables and abstain from meat so food cost wouldn't rise. If you want to ridicule meat eaters because of the bible you should also condemn homosexuality..hypocrites

but rearing grazing animals, if done properly is beneficial to the environment, so actually helps animals in the long run. Also, meat doesn’t make people sick. Tampering with nature makes people sick. It's natural to eat meat, check your teeth. So by that process, you people are going against nature, thereby making us sick.

BUT Plants are ALIVE, what a dilemma!

What this AC said about carbon foot printing, the destruction of wildlife and environment is true. Not to mention how much farmland we waste to make food for livestock (farmland that could be put to better use!).

I believe that in our current society we consume TOO much meat. I'm not a vegan (still working on the weaning off the meat issue) but if we look back in history the human diet was made up primarily of vegetables, nuts, fruits, seeds, etc. with meat on rare occasions. They didn't eat meat every day with almost every meal like many do today.

In our current society, how we mass produce meat is not natural. We feed them GMO based diets (usually a diet they do not eat naturally), keep the animals in poor conditions, inject them antibiotics and steroids, etc.
For the meat eaters saying "enjoy your GMOs!", you're being very short-sighted. Unless you buy "organic meat" then you're still poisoning yourself.

And about fat vegans... every vegan I've ever met has been of proper weight for their size. However, when I go to a popular local steak house it's common place to see most people that walk through their doors as big as cows themselves.

And here's a fun fact for pork eaters (just for kicks): It's been documented that humans taste like pork! So don't feel afraid to gorge yourself on your fellow human being when the world ends. They'll taste delicious! Afterall, what kind of meat eater can live without bacon?

And yes, OP's thread title is ridiculous. Yes, you still kill plants, but to survive in this reality something has to die for something else to live. I rather it be a vegetable than an animal.
