And what else?

Posting your hours online? That is, if you're lucky enough to have a job?

No bank tellers. And whatever else. We are are becoming so intensely futuristic and digitalized that we have lost all sense of ourselves.

No more hugs or kisses.

Just a character on a screen.

No one has jobs because we are being forced to do them ourselves. There's less human interaction. No emotion or anything to speak of. Text messages instead of conversations.

Your kids are screwed.

Baby boomer's kids are screwed.

Luckily all humanity needs in order to wake up, is a good shake.

I avoid self service lanes as much as possible. I want service from a real person and hate seeing them replaced by machines.

Have you noticed a lot of call centers seem to be moving back to America? People complained, it seems some companies heard them.

Maybe the same will happen with self serve lanes.

I hate self check out lines. But it's all that's available when I get off work late at night. The stupid things screw up all the time and require "assistance" from a clerk anyhow.

I wouldn't mind those menial jobs if they actually paid you enough to survive. The issue is more about distribution of wealth IMHO. Not to mention most employees don't have a whole lot of leverage, and from what I understand most unions are "a joke."

I love them, now I feel guilty!

I prefer to go at my own pace, as some of the check out staff are so slow

Exactly....people better get used to it. There are far more important things we can be putting our energy into. Technology is not going away, we can only strive for a balance between it and humanity.

Even if it maybe true, in areas like mine the experience of using a machine to check-out is a lot better than dealing with some cashier who can only speak broken English and acts as if they're doing you a favor even noticing you standing there.

You might put a little energy into being a human being.

Ask your grandfather.

The old ways are usually the best.

But, you know, time will tell.
