The meaning of it concerns the manifestation and the rooting out of good and evil; a separation of the sheep from the goats so to speak. It has no meaning on this level to us except from the perspective of the soul's experience and point of view. The ultimate goal is to learn through painful experience to choose the good and return to the plane of creation where God dwells so that we might be redeemed before His Holy Throne and be restored to those things which were promised to us by Him from the beginning. From that point of view time means nothing. Only our record as to how well we have done in any earthly incarnation toward fullfilling the Law of God and coming to our spiritual senses. Ok? So can i have the million dollars? Cuz there are alot of people around here who could really use it. Thanks. |

Ants evolve to survive in the environment they are in and against enemies. If all Ants didn't help the colony then it would die off and another competing colony would take over. Society can also be seen as the society your cells live within (your body). Sure. Some of you would say Dole Bludgers don't contribute to society. Haha. Well, even leechers suck blood off animals, they are alive to improve at becoming better leechers and producing more useless offspring. Haha. However just producing offspring in my eyes does not make one ALIVE if not making any improvement. Everyone should strive to improve him(her)self and their society to be truely alive. |

"Life is full of pain, suffering, and joy... if not the complete convulsion of the senses.... but this is not life's goal, as it were, to write many a novel, merely for the exercise of neurons firing of chaotically," replied the monk. "So if life is not meant to be like a novel, than what?" Looking down, a well worn copy of Longfellow was picked up thoughtfully, as if it had witnessed countless hours of meditation. This is what the monk read: The Psalm of Life by Longfellow WHAT THE HEART OF THE YOUNG MAN SAID TO THE PSALMIST TELL me not, in mournful numbers, Life is but an empty dream ! — For the soul is dead that slumbers, And things are not what they seem. Life is real ! Life is earnest! And the grave is not its goal ; Dust thou art, to dust returnest, Was not spoken of the soul. Not enjoyment, and not sorrow, Is our destined end or way ; But to act, that each to-morrow Find us farther than to-day. Art is long, and Time is fleeting, And our hearts, though stout and brave, Still, like muffled drums, are beating Funeral marches to the grave. In the world's broad field of battle, In the bivouac of Life, Be not like dumb, driven cattle ! Be a hero in the strife ! Trust no Future, howe'er pleasant ! Let the dead Past bury its dead ! Act,— act in the living Present ! Heart within, and God o'erhead ! Lives of great men all remind us We can make our lives sublime, And, departing, leave behind us Footprints on the sands of time ; Footprints, that perhaps another, Sailing o'er life's solemn main, A forlorn and shipwrecked brother, Seeing, shall take heart again. Let us, then, be up and doing, With a heart for any fate ; Still achieving, still pursuing, Learn to labor and to wait. |

I choose love. Today I will love God and what God loves. I Choose Joy... I will invite my God to be the God of circumstance. I will refuse the temptation to be cynical. I will refuse to see people as anything less than human beings, created by God. I will refuse to see any problem as anything less than an opportunity to see God. I Choose Peace... I will live forgiven. I will forgive so I may live. I Choose Patience... I will overlook the inconveniences of the world. Instead of cursing the one who takes my place, I'll invite him to do so, Rather complain that the wait is to long, I will thank God for a moment to pray. Instead of clenching my fist at new assignments, I will face them with joy and courage. I Choose Kindness... I will be kind to the poor, for they are alone. Kind to the rich, for they are afraid. And kind to the unkind, for that is how God has treated me. I Choose Goodness... I will go without a dollar before I take a dishonest one. I will be overlooked before I will boast. I will confess before I accuse. I choose goodness. I Choose Faithfulness... Today I will keep my promises. My debtors will not regret their trust. My friends will not question my word. And my family will not question my love. I Choose Gentleness... Nothing is won by force. I choose to be gentle. If I raise my voice may it only be in praise. If I clench my fist, may it only be in prayer. If I make a demand, may it be only of myself. I Choose Self-Control... I refuse to let what will rot, rule the eternal. I choose self-control. I will be drunk only by joy. I will be impassioned only by my faith. I will be influenced only by God. I will be taught only by Christ. I choose self-control. Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control. To these I commit my day. If I succeed, I will give thanks. If I fail, I will seek His grace. And then when this day is done I will place my head on my pillow and rest.” ― Max Lucado |

Reminiscent Ralph User ID: 5537032 United States 02/09/2013 11:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There was a time long eons ago when I had all I desired. Never a want. Love all around me. Peace, family, love, music, tranquility, home, warmth, light, learning, and an intense feeling of belonging. Then there was an announcement that went out promising a special school of learning. The school was called Earth. A school so special it was beyond your imagination. However, to attend the school you had to suppress your memories of all that was past and live day by day with nothing but faith. Many chose not to attend because it seemed too scary...which it is, believe me. Others chose to support those that elected to go. Me and my mates signed up for this school. And here we are, on planet earth. What a school. Truly, this was beyond anything I expected. So many lessons. So many experiences. So much emotion. Wow. It's been great. Thank you everyone for your efforts and unending contributions. Graduation is upon us. The grand announcement is near. Our diplomas are filled and ready to be presented. I congratulate us all. |

It is all about decisions. For example, you could have been born to be the father of someone who created a great work of literature or you could have been born as a person with all the luxuries in life to see what you would do with it. In my opinion it is a big stage where we entertain the hosts who watch us and they hang on the suspense of whether or not we will do the right thing when no one is looking(we think).I truly believe after we pass away we are greeted by lost friends and family who laugh their butt off at our mistakes. In short, as I grow older I think of the song row row your boat. It is starting to make a lot more sense now. |

The meaning of YOUR life is whatever you say it is. There is no inherent meaning of life. One isn't born with meaning in their life, nor does some meaning exist outside one's self that one eventually discovers or has revealed to one's self. Since there is no meaning, it's a blank slate upon which you can write anything you like, and thus the meaning of your life is whatever you want it to be. You're free. Enjoy! Nothing really matters. Unless you think it does. |
