I like this . . . and several others. Thanks for making us (or me, at least) think. I'm not sure the above is correct by itself. Life is a "hands on" learning experience in learning how to live in harmony with the "everything!"

If you like this one best, which is probably NOT going to happen, I don't think I'd need the money. I'm learning more about how to live, now that I'm not employed, and God willing I will be closer to where I need to be by the time my life as I know it now, ends.

God taught us all He could teach us. But how do you know what Hate is until YOU experience it. Same with Greed, Racism, Addiction. How could a Loving God teach us about these horrible things. He couldn't so we with His help created Earth, they on the other side of the veil, call this place Reality. Where the rubber meets the road. We are students, we have to pass throught these 12 houses before we are allowed to become universal citizens. I mean do you really think that God would allow 99% of us out onto the real universe. To plunder and destroy everything we touch! There are planets out there where everybody is telepathic, do you send somebody there who only gets drunk and beats his meat, how vile. First and foremost there is NO meaning to life. It happens spontaneously. Life is the 'I AM' and the love of the SELF -
basically the spark of life (consciousness) and the 5 elements come into play with a body. It is Life all as one, quantam mechanics proves this scientifically. The advaita vedanta or nonduality sages explain this in detail; especially Nisargadatta, Ramana, Robert Adams, Rupert Spira, etc...


The only possible 'Meaning of Life' would be to realize your oneness as 'I AM That I Am'. We always are that but we normally live in the ignorance of out going attention (energy) believing that we are separate individuals with a world out there (duality)

Transcend thought and even beingness, to realize that you have always been the absolute.


What 'i' would do with some money? What life itself would do! Take care of all of life as it is one. I would be led to do what would be done. What comes to mind now is feed the hungry and teach people how to be empowered to be SELF responsible. Probably help to start numerous 'hydroponics' areas.

Most responders are answering (to wildly varying degrees of validity) the question: What is the purpose of life? While an absolutely relevant and rich question to explore, it is seperate from the question: "What is the meaning of life?"

This latter is the central and most fundamental question of all human endeavor and thought. It is one of four questions that I have considered every single day of my life since I was eleven years old and read Plato for the first time. For twenty-four years I have thought about this every single day and I'm happy to share my answers with all of you.

This one question is really two. The first is: "What is the meaning of Life?" And the second is: "what is the meaning of a life?"

1 What is the meaning of Life?
Life is the self-awareness of the universe. Our eyes are
the eyes of the universe observing itself just as the
nose of the bloodhound or the tympanic membrane of the
bullfrog are the universe knowing itself. Life is the
full spectrum of senses the universe has of knowing
itself.

2 What is the meaning of a subjective personal life?
No two philosophers have agreed on the answer to
this question. Given our limited range of knowledge
and perception this is not surprising. We can only
see so very little. However, on a basic level,
every single living entity knows the simple answer.
Being born and having a life mean that each of has,
and is justly entitled to a will. Hence,
having life means we have an opportunity to
manifest our will within reality in whatever
ways we find to be possible and desirable. So, in
simpler terms, life means that we have a chance to
impact the universe and reality itself according to
our own will with no built in limitations whatsoever.

We are a mere virus. Imagine life on a grander scale. Our sun is an atom. The universe is to us almost infinite. But is actually a being and we to this being are smaller than microscopic. As the universe grows we destroy it. We hang around on a planet to the point where we destroy it while simultaneously becoming so advanced until we can finally travel to a new planet and destroy it. The process repeats itself constantly.
