Found another one, posted 3 days ago, people fighting for flour. A basic item for survival in the case of economic collapse, if some idiot ask; "why they fight fo flour?"
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17990531

You don't need flour to survive.

If they follow the Icelandic model a few Politicians and a few bankers will go to jail and then the economy will tend to recover despite sanctions by 'the Western Banks'.

If the followed the US model then they will go like Greece is going total devaluation will be 460% before the bottom is felt.

Really, which one would you pick when the welfare of all others comes before your own?

This is gonna be real fun to watch on TV when that happens in the US with tens of millions armed to the teeth.

Hungry and armed... yeah this is gonna end super well.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31910747

except the US produces one fourth of the worlds food supply, and has ~4% of its population. so...we're fine. also, we can always eat liberals, they don't have guns so it should be pretty easy to hunt them.

Unfortunately, such economic collapse and food shortages will spread worldwide soon. Not only is it perfectly clear for anyone paying attention to the economy, or to what our guv r mints are preparing for, but Bible prophecy makes it very clear.

Nobody (except rich gringos) in Venezuela is worried. The people have fuel, they have plenty of local food, they have actual family and neighbors, and they don´t care if their cable doesn´t work. No one is running crazy for food.

I don't know, maybe you should be the minister of economy in Venezuela, and save the economy with your bright ideas
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17990531

If people were starving then those FULL food shelves and freezers in the background would be empty.

This looks like a new product promotion to me.

Show me empty shelves and angry people fighting for food, not well stocked shops and laughing smiley people.

Just saying.

Having just returned from Venezuela, it certainly did not look to me like Venezuelans were starving in any way. They don't have caviar and champagne, and they do not waste to the extent that we North Americans do, but they are definitely not starving.

Despite Shortages, Venezuelans Are Eating Better Statistics Say
[link to venezuelanalysis.com]
Over the last month, some basic foods such as margarine, corn flour, rice, sugar, and chicken have been hard to find in many parts of Venezuela. A report from Venezuela’s Central Bank for the month of December showed high levels of scarcity for 6 of the 33 basic goods that are measured, and moderate levels of scarcity for 9 others.

This is all BS. I have relatives in Venezuela and they are posting as usual on FB.
 Quoting: snork 2340095

It is NOT bs . Just localized events, and not spread nationwide(yet). Shortage of certain key products is clearly evident in the latest months, all thanks to the incompetent "government".
1 John 1–3._ 1Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God.
